1981-2000 was a golden age in American history and I feel very bad for the generation that didn't get to experience at least some of it.

When Roman unifies the title tonight, they better get rid of the Universal title and just absorb it in the WWE title lineage.

I actually liked the first opening better, but I also liked "Rise" better than "Inner Universe" even if it's a close call.

Man, compare the standard version to the vinyl. Massive difference. The English version is actually decent too, which is a rarity for a dub especially that early.

Well now. Although I'd say my favorite in Japan right now is Ayaka Miyoshi. She's not a pr0n chick like this one seems to be. :skully

Exactly. Whoever can combine AEW's freedom to the wrestlers with WWE's presentation and production will be the best quality product. Vince's problem is that he micromanages everything to death. Everything is scripted, sanitized, and over-produced, and he has a terrible sense of humor. Tony's problem is that he allows weird, cringe shit to get onto his show and doesn't have an instinct for what a real star that has crossover appeal should be, and he has a terrible sense of humor. If only they would see their own weaknesses holding them back.

Yeah, it is 100% the thing holding AEW back from appealing to a mainstream audience. On the one hand they have very, very good talent. Some legit main event talent like Punk, Mox, Danielson, Omega, MJF, and so on, and promising rising stars like Hook. But then they stick these total goofballs on the show like Orange Cassidy and now Danhausen, or put Adam Cole in the main event, and it just makes the show so much worse, along with all the terrible humor they try to put in there. It's just as bad as Vince's cringe humor, if less graphic. Sadly, both Tony Khan and the Elite share this taste in humor. They need to understand that they have to keep these things to a bare minimum. Orange Cassidy unfortunately sells a ton of merchandise so you don't want to let him go completely, but his use needs to be very selective. You don't put him in serious matches and stories with guys like MJF and Wardlow. If they can get rid of their deadweight and their bad humor and other odds and ends...
