well that was just my interpretation. TFWiki seems to think Unicron showed up to eat The Fallen, but to me this is unlikely as they have history together. The story doesn't say either way, but given the SG Multiverse does become Unshrouded at the very end, it certainly looks like something else was being set up for the future? Though given the author's dislike of Singularities, I have no idea what if anything this would entail.

actually Coalescence covers a lot of different time periods so maybe that section is supposed to be pre-Shroud but the point still stands

it was a huge aspect of Cyberverse and now the Legacy toys, so it solely just seems to be a funpub comic team mandate that other teams of the series are either unaware of or ignoring. Ima be honest I’ll also be very surprised if it doesn’t show up in Skybound eventually too. All big comics inevitably touch on it at some point. Even Rise of the Beast’s promo mentioned Unicron as a multiversal threat and the movies are the thing that gets the most money kicked their way besides the toys

Was looking at some author statements from Jesse Wittenrich as he wrote Epilogue Two where the SG Multiverse is introduced, some interesting tidbits ^The Shattered Glass multiverse is by word of god a different multiverse from the positive one. We already kinda new this but it's not "directly" stated in the story so it's just good to have another confirmation. ^ Obviously for the purposes of this hobby we don't take this at face value, but he even says headcanon is canon lol ^This one kinda disappoints me specifically because Wittenrich was an architect of the Shroud. I like the 13 being gods, it's what makes them cool. You could just not write yours that way! You didn't have to make it impossible for anyone else to do that lol He also claims at one point that The One was affected by The Shroud which I am just going to ignore because it's not consistent with anything or even remotely suggested in the comic, and The One was allegedly the source of the golden (multiversal) power...

well there is one minor bit of lore I wasn't aware of, that Unicron was the leader of the Dark Gods. Primus was always introduced as their Lord I think, but Unicron leading them comes from these factoids. This is kinda interesting in light of Reaching the Omega Point retcons highlighting that Unicron ate all the other gods because it means he just at some point ate the guys explicitly on his team too lol

Reread some MTMTE arcs yesterday (my favorite comic of all time and god I hate lost light so much roberts what happened what happened) and this shit had me dying I forgot how funny it was sometimes (this is in regards to the cybertronian population voting Starscream leader)

I think it’s a two-part misinterpretation one part are the people who somehow believe Bayformers Optimus, where the violence critique originates from, is somehow the real evil over the guys who attempt a genocide every single movie, and it feels like they then find out G1 Optimus wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows so they retroactively try to make him fit into the same mold, when both are based on grievous misinterpretations of the characters. Optimus isn’t a sadist in any continuity, but he predominantly a “war hero” not a superhero that most comic readers or current fandom people are accustomed to. He makes hard decisions that weigh on his conscious, he kills people when he has to. People want him to be Clark Kent and he has never been that, but he’s also never been some gleeful serial killer that the dumbest people on the internet try to frame him as either.
