The entire plot of Nocturne is the fact that the Universe, the fucking Universe, was literally folded into a small ass Egg that's called the Conception with a fragment of YHWH in the center that in the canonical ending, The Demi-Fiend obliterates him from across the entire MULTIVERSE! Then kicked Lucifer's ass and is now a True Demon and he had to fight many Gods including Metatron himself. Like unless these people never even looked at SMT, I don't know how...

The main deal with OPM is simple: It's SUPPOSED TO BE a deconstruction of the Shonen Hero Stereotypes and Story beats that instead of having a weak hero become overpowered at the end, you have a hero be overpowered from the jump and how that should make you completely alien to everyone else and the over-encompassing boredom that comes with it. The problem with OPM's setup is that it actually tackles it in the worst way possible, tending to over-glorify Saitama's strength and the strength of his enemies meanwhile still being forced to develop characters AROUND Saitama to make up for the fact he can't be developed as he's basically an endgame shonen protagonist already. So you end up with a series that tries to stick with it's core concept but not realizing that overblowing Saitama with "Will he finally find the monster that can make him try" doesn't actually work(Which is why the Manga goes back on it by having Saitama already have a finite powerlevel that only increases...
