Alice's dresses in Alice: Madness Returns can provide her with additional effects. But they are unlocked after you finish your first playthrough. Classic: This dress allows Alice to regain health while shrunk.
Misstitched: This dress doubles the duration of Alice's Shrink Sense.

Alice is just an ordinary girl in the real world, while she is superhuman in the mental world of Wonderland and various Otherlands she can visit. Though this seems to have changed during the ending of Alice: Madness Returns when her powers manifested in the real world. While injured, Alice tore a gash in an orderly's cheek with a spoon, then dung wounds into her wrists.
Alice shoves Bumby in front of a train. However, she does this when her powers manifest.
Alice survives the house fire that killed her family. She was left in bad condition after and was brought in for medical treatment. Her epidermis was singed to the third layer, and the rest of her skin was as brittle as carp scales. Here is also a long set of logs from the first game's manual detailing her recovery.
Alice might have received a trepanation during her time at the asylum.
Alice underwent bloodletting during her time at the asylum.
Alice survived 10000 volts during electroshock therapy.
