from what i've seen, ultra was awarded for being best town and was also the most active player in this game
imo, those facts alone could make scum afraid of him and prioritize killing him, even if he wasn't necessarily a threat to the mafia goons on the first day

I'm coming around to ultra being right on a hime/gad team. they had a lot of fluffy interaction posts in the first couple pages. hime also liked a fairly lazy and inaccurate read I threw out on illwei. she may have assumed I did my due diligence (lol no) and felt safe piggybacking it.
