VS Battle Caim & Angelus (Drakengard): Monster Hunter Gauntlet

Caim and Angelus get dropped on the planet of Monster Hunter. The wildlife and residents want them dead. Both Caim and Angelus are at their strongest, with Caim having every single weapon and spell and Angelus in her Chaos form. How far do they get?

Scenario 1) Caim & Angelus together

Scenario 2) Caim by himself

Scenario 3) Angelus by herself

All scenarios have a speed equal and unequal parts to them.

Caim and Angelus are continent level right?
They are around that level due to fighting the Queen Beast. The Queen Beast arriving on Earth knocked the tilt out of Earth’s rotational axis. This event caused the Earth’s rotation to slow down over 1200 years and eventually stopped moving.

Or probably planet level with some iffy scaling from Nier characters. The Queen Beast might be as strong as False Idol/Her Inflorescence that 2B and 9S defeated in the FFXIV event. Both are Watchers/Angels.

You have Angelus’s cells that are the source for magic/Maso being integrated into Nier’s world tech and experiments like Emil, Halua, Weiss, Noir, the Gestalts, Devola, Popola, Noelle and etc. Her Inflorescence resembles the Intoners and the Flower. The Flower is the Dragon's natural enemy and the only being in Midgard to kill the Flower and Intoners.

There are the Emil clones knocking the Earth out of its axis by overloading its fusion reactor to self-destruct. The YoRHa androids can overload their fusion reactor to self-destruct too, apart from A2 which gives her a power-up.

Probably stop around the higher tier elder dragons, and some of the more haxed ones like Velkhana might hard stop them.

Speed unequal might get slightly dicey for them since a good chunk of higher level monsters scale to Kirin who is as fast as legit lightning.

Guess Caim’s and Angelus’s speed sort of match Monster Hunter. @ChaosTheory123 did a calc on the dragon's breath beam that was Mach 508, and reapers in Drakengard can react and slap that shit away. Intoners in Drakengard 3 were able to react and conjure a barrier from Michael’s breath beam, the distance was decently close.

I don’t think anyone in Drakengard scales to Nier’s ftl speed.

Has anyone in Monster Hunter ever reached speed of light or faster than light?

you can probably find something ridiculous like that in some of the frontier games which is where the monster scaling gets completely out of control and really whack.

Closest I can think off the top of my head would be Valstrax flying into the upper atmosphere and back down in a decently short timeframe, and Val is massively stronger than Kirin.

this E.drag manipulates wind and light, though I'm not too sure up to what extent.

This is the other dragon that controls light

Clipped for light based attack "White Breath"

Valstrax Divebomb

A mutant Valstrax fearsomely dubbed the "Crimson Glow." This elder dragon typically secludes itself in the upper atmosphere, but it has been driven mad by its own rampant energy, causing it to lash out at anything in its sight. Once it sights its prey, it swoops down, trampling them beneath its shifting wingblades. Several have been sighted all over, so be prepared to encounter one at any time.

Where's this from? :hm

Sounds cool though

It's not really 100% confirmed that the Queen Beast is the cause, but it seemed to have happened at the time or after she arrives.

Grimoire Nier is basically a series of novels and an encyclopedia.

The interview with Yoko Taro says that the axis of the Earth has changed.
Let's ask director Yokoo a simple question 2: Why doesn't it ever get completely dark at night?

Yokoo: The axis of the earth has changed in that time period, the sun won't sink below the horizon even at night – it’ll be like a midnight sun.

This is also from the World of Recycled Vessel from the Nier game. Seems to imply it happened by the time or after Angelus and the Queen Beast arrived on Earth and when they brought magic to the world.
Door 1

  1. This is the world of the recycled vessel, created to avoid the destruction of all.
  2. The Black Scrawl. A lost destiny. A white book. A false truth.
  3. A soldier of salt calling forth white death. He is Legion, the man who plunged the world into darkness.
  4. The dragon's corpse brought death to the world, delivering unto it the power of the devil.
  5. The black sickness stains the future. They journey to return to soulless vessels.

Door 2

  1. The apocalypse divided the world in two: one that knows not day, and one which has never seen the night.
  2. Black, and white. Thirteen pacts. The vessels' forms waver as they cross time and space.
  3. The song of man has been drowned out. In its place, the scream of something inhuman.
  4. The sky falls with the dragon. The world ends this day.
  5. The puppet priest collects the accursed prayers and polishes the vessel.

Door 3

  1. As long as this memory exists, as long as mankind has hope, a bloody battle will be waged over the holy domain of the body.
  2. Foolish human. Foolish human. Foolish human. Foolish vessel.
  3. All is paid. All is sacrifice.
  4. Do not bring back the light. Do not bring back the vessel. Do not bring back the future. Do not bring it back.
  5. Every beam of light is an invitation to death.

In Nier Automata, 9S explains the cycle of light and dark doesn't exist, the sub doesn't leave the sky anymore.

In this Dengeki Playstation interview Yoko Taro confirming the permanent day and night cycle.

In the settings materials and the stage play, we hear about something called the "Day Countries" and the "Night Countries." Without going too in-depth, could you explain a little bit about this to us?

In the world of NieR, a certain incident in the world's past caused the Earth's axis to shift. Because of this, there's now a world of permanent daytime, as well as a world of permanent nighttime. I was told to give brief answers, so that's all I can say about this.
