Those who knew the existence of the demon dragon created a weapon "God general" to counter the dragon, and gave it to the eight heroes (later called "Irigami general"), the home of the dragon tribe. We will attack "Ryuden". When the magical power of the gods and the mighty power of the dragon tribe concentrated on the dragon hall, the order of the world collapsed. It is the arrival of the so-called "Apocalyptic Winter", which is an abnormal weather in which it snows in the Summer and the day turns into the night. Due to the collapse of nature's providence, the power of the earth and the sky weakened, and the dragon could no longer maintain its original shape. Therefore, he will confine his power to the dragon stone and take the form of a human being. Humans focused on the dragon that turned into a human, and finally the human won the victory.

It's actually just the case that Felix is weaker than the top tiers. Edelgard is roughly equal to Demitri in strength and basically everyone noteworthy is superhuman just from combat arts, even not including scaling from the dragon/wandering beast fights

EDIT: To be specific Dimitri is stronger than almost all of his peers and his strength is top tier in series (with only like Prime Jeralt the Ten Elites/Nemesis and the gods being higher) but superhuman strength isn't unusual for important characters
