gear 5 luffy vs mugetsu ichigo

the match should be properly made once the anime is finished, cuz the anime is canon and is pmuch the final arc, but fixed

so far, g5 luffy wins 6/10, the only advantage, is luffy's better reaction speed

DC sounds fairly comparable, but even if speed was equalized I'd still say Luffy's more diverse abilities (future-sight with Advanced Observation Haki, internal destruction with Advanced Armament Haki, Low Level Toonforce with G5, etc...) give him the decisive advantage over Ichigo's relatively straightforward, more predictable, fighting style.

A cross shaped version from firing a vertical and horizontal Getsuga together that doesn’t seem to be any different from firing it like normal and Mugetsu which is one big version that costs him all his powers permanently.

The one actual variety he has to this is firing Ceros too that he mixes with his Getsugas later.

It’s all as boring as it sounds

Kubo wanted to make Ichigo simple, that's not a problem for a protagonist to have, it's just that Ichigo being really simple damns him when all he can do is just Getsuga, Getsuga spam and little else.
But I will be fair though:

Ichigo can just CUT Luffy because even in Gear 5, he can't shrug off swords since they are only meant to hurt even compared to guns and other shit. And he can just keep Getsuga in his blade without releasing it like he did against Ulquirroa just to do more damage.
Like Ichigo isn't helpless against Luffy like a certain someone likes to say he is, it's just he has no hax.

The problem for ichigo is that in an OBD setting he just can't keep up with his antagonists. The only thing keeping bleach from getting shit on is their hax.

Yes Ichigo can hurt luffy, but Kaidos slashes barely did anything to luffy, bleach's Top tiers are the same ballpark of DC but they're much slower than OP characters. Sub-rel vs Lightspeed/relativistic.

So more than likely he's going to get smacked around.

Huh? What do you mean "OBD setting"? Because Ichigo kept up with his villains just fine, what do you mean by that? And in the overall powerscaling, Bleach is actually pretty decent only failing at those above Planetary which isn't even that many series in the grand scheme.

Last time I checked, while Mugetsu Ichigo has less DC than Kaidou, overall he's still stronger than Gear 5 Luffy at his best and OP characters outside of Kizaru aren't Lightspeed either.

Yeah he will as Mugetsu Ichigo, I was primarily talking about True Shikai/Bankai Ichigo here.

I just mean in vs setting, other characters like Yhwach can punch above their weight class if there's a way for him to win with hax, something ichigo can't do.

How is he stronger than Gear 5 luffy when the feat that comes from Law is above every bleach feat? Could you clarify?

I don't know the exact scalings for which ichigo but I'm just assuming at his strongest.

Gear 5 makes it far more likely Luffy’s body just shapes around the blade rather than him being cut. Like what he did with Kaido’s Kanabo here. 1691703092242.jpeg
 
he had some slight cuts from Kaido’s demolition gust but it was pretty minor, not really unlike Zoro’s dragon twister doing negligible damage to Kaido himself
 
Luffy never had a weakness to sharp objects. They would just hurt him unlike blunt objects. So Ichigo would still need enough Ap or DC to hurt Luffy.
