It doesn't make much sense timeline wise because the Godskin Apostles and Nobles clothing is already made up of dead Gods' flayed skin and flesh. So who are these other gods when they were already established? The dragons had been subdued and defeated already, the Giants nearly wiped out, and the God of Rot was sealed at the time. The Shattering happens like you said, AFTER, the Night of the Black Knives and Godwyn's death. Which is well after Godfrey/Horah was already banished from Leyndell. The thing is the Godskin Apostles actually came about after the Night of Black Knives, and there wasn't a previous cycle where the Elden Ring was broken before. Like it was in the game. Since Godwyn is noted to be the first deity/demigod to actually die in recorded history. Doesn't really make sense for them to have come beforehand. Since they had a body count of dead deities on their clothing already. Which would suggest this happened after Ranni's theft. Godwyn's assassination actually happened during the very beginning of the Golden Age. As confirmed by Rogier, and only many years later did the Shattering happen. There's a huge gap of time-frame we're missing.
