Does the Shrike have any answer to GER reducing his actions to zero and putting him in an infinite death loop? I know the dude is broken AF in his own way, does his speed or other abilities allow him to overcome GER's ability?
I know the Shrike has some absurd DC and some ridiculous Time Travel and Acausal shit but the question remains, can he deal with GER's shit?
Shrike will not be able to do anything to ger because all his actions will be reset to 0, however ger will not be able to kill him permanently, he continuously summons his infinite self in other timelines and different times
not really sure how this goes, I think a lot of it depends on conditions of the match i.e where they meet and so on
If they are in a neutral setting, then GER should win. It can nullify the Shrike from actually using any of its abilities or jumping through time to begin with. Additionally the death loop just requires contact (unless JoJo a GoGo translations coming later this year change that) and during the death loop your actions are still nulled. Diavolo could have cancelled out of any of the deaths he experienced but wasn’t allowed to do anything. Current english translations are explicit in that what Diavolo does when he destroys a piece of time is universal, and GER doesn’t have any issue reaching other spaces and so on.
However, while GER can affect things retroactively, there isn’t really any indication it can freely manipulate the past at all, only the present and future. So if the Shrike is actually able to move back and so on I don’t know what GER could do about that.

Tbf if GER couldn’t manipulate the past wouldn’t that mean Kira’s Bites the Dust time loop bringing Kira back in time would counter it? Now Araki may not have thought of every specific interaction when he made GER the most powerful stand, but I still have trouble believing that would work…
that wouldn’t work because GER would be able to stop the actual action from occurring. Kira isn’t starting in the pst or out of regular time, he has to activate the BTD bomb which causes the loop, and that’s something GER can easily lolnope. Which is what I was getting at from “in a neutral setting GER should be able to win”
I’m hoping the english translation of JoJo a GoGo sheds more light as the ones Thanatoseraph did a decade ago he admitted were done on the fly, and iirc they’re where stuff like “None stats are because GER cannot be compared to any existing Stand” and so on are from
GER does say “no matter who stands before me their power would be nothing” or something so I guess you could try and use that to say he would outdo BTD? Just feels a bit thin with no direct showings imo
@OtherGalaxy shrike himself exists throughout time and exists outside of linear time, is that enough for ger to be defeated?
if he exists throughout all of time then he should be able to tap into GER’s one weakness: the past

I feel like I was already pretty comprehensive in my answers here and on fv, no? Shrike should win, GER can stop time travel but he can’t stop something that is already in the past/omnipresent across time/however you want to define it. If it could then Giorno would have been able to bring back Narancia and Bucciarati
