The issue is I think Ekko just botched his claim and I‘ve seen him do that before as scum. The Achro Alco thing is just weird. It makes no sense to ask a player pool for their claim without his target even being in it initially. Do you at least agree with that? In addition a Tracker and VC serve the same function, checking claims.

I have 0 idea how you think this is a botch but whatever Melkor did is. Short answer is no, he has clearly poured significant thought into his claim to the point where if he is scum this entire notion is dumb that he would misplace who he's trying to frame

His explanation for the player pool checks out - if he tells his exact target that he investigated them, they have time to come up with some explanation. At the same time he needs to demand a claim so he picks a group of players. Polar did something similar with his redirect last game

we had no vc. i played the day until the very end and reserved my vote until the very end to avoid a premature hammer

I should also mention that apparently, if I were to check the godfather I would get a vanilla town result. So idk if I'd spec contradicting claims here either. There's easily enough room for 3 investigators
