i actually kinda like hayumi gearing up in this duel thing. a wolf pushing an agenda would step back because the goal which they were aiming for would be fulfilled: a villager in brad / fuji / mirake is dying

this hype / guiding of which direction the duel should go into is villagery
I disagree, because what Hayumi is trying to direct is not the duel, but the lynch, by creating a sort of dichotomy that surely one of brad/MIk is a wolf and therefore let's kill both.

Why compare the two though? Brad is in a duel while Lethal has I think one vote from Alexis? Then again I doubt you would compare Brad to Lethal as mafia cause of how sus it would look after Brad flips maf

I agree with the reasoning that it should have been delayed for more intel.

Wanting to push Fuji, not sure how I feel about that yet. But noting it for later reference

And why did you sheep Gram specifically?

Kinda surprised by how blatant the apathy is here. Could be town apathy or mafia apathy, I'm not sure yet

Why isn't it a good duel to nail a mafia right now and give town a vote that will either give not a ton of data on the voting log if everyone bandwagoned on Brad, or would give Brad a chance to potentially use a special mafia ability at night before they are finally taken out?

Sorry, what does 'LHF' mean?

Not sure why you pinged me here when I already voted in both the duel and the 'normal' vote

Can you explain this? Feels a bit random in isolation

Why do you believe Lethal is clearly town?

Was gonna ask why but you elaborated on it below

The thing is, the probability of Fuji being a third-party is very low. I appreciate you sharing a bit of meta on Fuji but I don't really see it yet. Might iso Fuji later to see if I come to a clear conclusion on them

So you feel like Sharter is a bit sus?
Sheeped Gram because hes a good player and Im burnt out from a game I just got done playing where I posted 1200 times. He was one of those I asked for reads because I was intending to duel today no matter what. He found Brad scumm and voted him, Arne (another guy whom I consider a good player also voted him) so I initiated the duel.

As for my comment about Gad hunting his own is that Atsumori is a lHF, whom I town read. And Gad AKA Sharter Holmes is a LHF too is often times lynched day 1 or early in the game.

Still think cata is probably scum but given hayumi seems to be trying to nudge me back there I'm staying put

Did you explain why you think Cataclysm is scum? I haven't read them closely (they're one of the less active posters I believe) but I don't recall the reasoning

What do you like about this? Feels pretty lackluster to me.

I was also curious about this, I mean I could see Sharter maybe liking Lethal's voting many people to try and get reads? But I feel like it would be more effective to do when you get actual reactions and give a chance for people to bandwagon each one first, so that you get a lot more data to work with for later days.

The way it was done felt frenetic

He's saying that Atsu should be town cause he was soft defending you for your fluff phase posts. Which is cringe. Like, meh.

Okay, I think I understand it now. My brain was zoning out about 25% of the way each time I tried to read it, lol

gun to head, we kill you for using AI and then play mafia

And I ran Alexis's wall post through an AI checker and it gave 0%.

yeah dude cant wolf
his emotions here are just never fake lol

Or Brad is annoyed that Fuji and I called them out and the emotion is genuine but coming from a wolf pissed off about being taken out day 1

Well it may have been more efficient if Fuji had held off using this till day 2 or later on in the case of conflicting claims, I don't think he does this as scum. And I'm not sure about just clearing Lethal off his aggro reactions and responses to Alexis is the best idea, he's gotten better at this kind of thing before.

Goddamn it why is my biggest FOS making points I agree with here?

gad is prob town but theyre being mislynched d1 or d2

OK can you explain this?

nah hes town lol just ignore him
town vig can shoot them if they want dont waste an entire day for this push

I feel like you asking for Alexis to get shot is not townie, especially when Alexis is one of my stronger townreads

Heroshooting should be done deliberately not just pew pew pew cause someone's style of playing pisses you off

I'm not preflipping. I'm saying Brad comes off as if he has TMI. And yes, I talked about a hypothetical but that doesn't mean I don't scum lean Brad. Idk what you're trying to say pokemon

Use vine whip

I agree, Brad's level of confidence (including, literally saying '100%') is a clear scumtell

Lethal meets a certain archetype according to Klopp's model.

A Level 2 "Aggressor" wolf.
Superficial reasoning (attacking the HOW, not the WHAT).

More superficial reasoning.

I see this constant focused aggression as a way to simulate strong conviction and intimidate me and others without needing nuanced emotional range.

1) While tunneling isn't inherently wolfy, the manner matters. Lethal tunnels hard on Mlraka initially and then pivots to an equally intense tunnel on me once I target him.

2) Lethal's extreme language and especially the threat in #291 can be seen as a wolf trying to appear town-confident through sheer force. Will repeat some of this later here.

Lethal challenges BradLand's hesitation on Mlraka. The vote switch lacks deep progression beyond reacting to Brad's lack of aggression.

Lethal switches his vote to an inactive player. This doesn't necessarily have to mean anything, but it can be noted that wolves are much more self-aware and feel an internal pressure to do something, anything. Voting an inactive can be a low-risk way for a wolf to fulfill this pressure to act and appear to be contributing, without targeting someone who could push back.

He's not really saying much here.

He's a wolf providing superficial reads to check the "contributing" box without committing strongly to potentially incorrect town reads.

Lethal's reaction to being voted by me is immediate, extreme, and personal. He demands elaboration but refuses to provide it first.

Lethal votes me, again focusing on how I'm playing rather than what specific points make me scum. OMGUS here.

A wolf might make such a statement to:
  • Intimidate me.
  • Bluff having a power role.

He continues to dismiss my playstyle. He aggressively denies my attempt at meta as well.

Conclusion: Scum.
This post is pretty good and shows why I had problems with Lethal's aggression. It felt way over the top, which scum likes to use to intimidate people. I am confused about how Luka and Jay can so confidently town read them. Strong town read on Alexis.

The thing is people accuse him of using chatgpt, I think its fine lol. Because I noticed in some games where he had correct reads but he couldnt exactly formulate why he had those scum reads, I think using chagpt or whatever to help him out is fine. Seems others find it bad though. At the very least hes playing the game and scum hunting instead of spaming the thread with 'Chills...''
