The only thing I don't agree with is negging someone without even leaving a comment, so I made comments mandatory even if the person writes like 3 letters.

At least the current rep system that you got here probably works better than the one that's going through "updates".

Also the vast majority of members on NF are just regular members so it makes no sense for some members to have different perms regarding rep compared to others unless they have a specific role for it.
 
I remember even back in vbulletin days there was some weird group permission coding going on for member accounts of 2006 and older where they retained the avatar they had when they got banned, and newer accounts did not.

That was also Tazmo's pirated vbulletin software to boot, so in a lot of ways NF always felt like it was held together with duct tape.
 
My favorite thing during vBulletin days was when I got banned while I was section banned from a number of other sections and no one could figure out why I couldn't see or access the Courts (even though it was pretty fucking obvious why). Led to the screen just being the header for the forum whenever I logged in. That's it.
 
There are no "updates", bro, he is just editing templates and messing with group perms. The thing that is ticking me off is the part about him saying negs aren't a "feature" like the fuck bro stop lying to these people. A feature is a tool that helps to accomplishes functions. For example, the permission for a group to give negative reputation is a feature that support functionality such actually giving someone negative reputation points when the reputation pop-up appears on the page.
Bro, I will tell you for a FACT that Mbxx didn't not buy any of those new add-on's; he got them off a nulled site, which if he hadn't already deleted my PM with him, it will show him offering me a staff position on the forum because he thought I was technically on his level, but I already know it was an attempt to bribe me for my silence and the dude never responded back

Honestly it was more just the thought of "wow, you can just ask for positions on NF now, and it's actually not a joke."

Like desperation sure, but the fact of it being entirely self imposed is just beyond sad.

But I get it, I'll stop. It's just strong pity for the man at this point. *sigh*
 
That tends to happen when you abruptly and for quite literally no reason strip a mod, from a very active section, of their powers with no notice whatsoever

What's interesting is that I don't know how much say and involvement staff has now, since they elect democratically (well, KIND of, provided it's a more cohesive, functional environment)

There's plenty glaring mistakes, but this was very, very much an oversight that is being (poorly) corrected also

I thought this was Jim for a second but its just odd

Because why give your staff extra work to mod each and every message when chances are almost every one of them are things even Youtube staff won't delete

Staff at this point appears to be more of an appendix of Mbxx than anything
