OBD Convo #39: never give up

I wouldn't put much stock in Obsidian being able to do much good, either, given the Outer Worlds was just a big load of meh. At least, in my book. We need devs who are full of passion and ready to make a legendary RPG, not folks who will phone it in, or just don't care that much about the franchise.
I own The Outer Worlds but I'm yet to play it, so I'll get back to you on that one. Even in the case of passionate devs, you can still have games with lots of issues (see launch day 2077).

In anycase, other friends of mine are saying they're enjoying Starfield quite a lot, so maybe it's just different opinions or something. I'll still play TES VI when it comes out in anycase, so for now we'll just wait.

True, though in that case, it seemed more like CDPR bit off way more than they could chew, at first, combined with the redo of game mechanics, due to a new team lead coming in and wanting a more 'action' oriented game like everything else on the market, rather than the true RPG it was supposed to be. Something CDPR have only recently managed to mostly shirk off, and patch a solid game out of CP2077.

If they are, more power to them, glad they could have fun, where I didn't. Maybe the gunplay and overly long dialogue from NPCs, which you can't skip, and I found boring and tedious to listen to, after a while, appealed to them way more and they had more fun with it and found it engaging, instead, or perhaps they're having a blast with what little exploration aspect exists within the game, or something.

One thing I do know is, this game makes a poor use of procedurally generated content. There is so much more that can be done with that tech, with where it's at now, and Bethesda just phoned it in pretty hard with it. In my view, again, anyway. Your mileage may vary, if/when you eventually play it yourself.

I'm really hoping it's good at least, because we've literally waited decades for this. Todd needs to stop making silly decissions.

I've not played Starfield. How is it?
Fallout 4 in space with some No Man's Sky, and some traits from New Vegas. The silent protagonist doesn't make much of a difference. It's not a very good RPG, and only an okay shooter.

Basically, it was doomed the moment it released anywhere near BG 3's launch. Which blows it out of the water in every way.

Kids, don't do facebook.
No matter how many times I filter shit like this out, it still appears.
Dude Anti-spiral and Broly.

I can't help but flashback to that one interview now, where Todd lied his ass off, as per usual, and stated that Starfield took elements from Daggerfall.

:mjlol I don't know what coke he was snorting, but if he was referring to the procedurally generated content, then he just embarrassed himself, as vanilla Daggerfall, from 27 bloody years ago, has better PG content than Starfield does, easily. Imagine getting outplayed by a game your own studio made, with way less people, back for the damn DOS in 96. Good grief.:heston

All we know is basically what her impact is if she just vanished which would be the Earth would lose it's Atmosphere and Air... so yeah, Divine Spirit who controls all of that on top of the typical strength of one should be pretty up there.
Thanks. You barely see any Australian characters in anime, so seeing her is pretty neat. :TrgJustice:

Any JJK character beating Goku lmao.

Ovelrod being 4th Isekai.
Rayearth not even being in top 3.

Why are Astro Boy and Ghost in the Shell even on that mech list?
Why isn't Blue Gender there?
