That's been my biggest issue with IBO too as it's just a truly terrible Season that feels like it tries to be "realistic" but it gets extremely stupid and just fucks over the protagonists while the Mary Sue villain just fucks them over easily and effortlessly through some absolutely retarded 4-D Chess and don't even get me started on the Dainslefs, OMFG those fucking things.
It's why I just headcanon a whole ass different season because that's some absolute garbage.

It's from GLITCH productions which is coming off as RoosterTeeth 2.0 with a whole bunch of series under it's belt made by many different creators, I think it's primarily Australian based.
 
The problem is it's so unrealistic that the only real loses is from the other side.

Also the shift from S1 to S2 direction kind of made a bigger problem than solution, It's like Digimon 02 where they didn't know how to handle the Main characters and what the main Character should be doing if the war ever ended then decided nah the main characters are the true villain and just kill all of them off.

When IBO's whole premise is that their current government are evil and Tekkadan is a lesser evil trying to change the world.

Like, I can genuinely understand that and even agree with it, what I don't like is stuff like the gangster who starts shit with Tekkaden who gets one of their dudes killed yet when Tekkaden responds in kind, they get cut off which just comes off as stupid rather than "realistic"(Like I get it would happen in other situations but not as blatantly when the gangster started massive shit).

Hell, them losing against Ghallajorn make sense... I just despise the Dainslefs as they rightfully make them out to be Atomic Bombs but Rustal just stages a random ally assault and that somehow removes the restriction on the use of the equivalent of Atomic Bombs?! Why not just have them crush Tekkaden through sheer force alongside the other guy? That would honestly be realistic than going towards that nonsense.
Like the concept of Season 2 makes sense(It's not the first time I've seen shows, movies, etc. do dark shit and end dark), I just hate how it screws them over in dumb ways rather than smart ways.

EDIT: I had to do a bit of reading and apparently during that staged incident, they DID actually fire a Dainslef at themselves which does make sense for the authorization but it was the SPAMMING of them and using them on Earth which never sat right with me.
 
Them getting completely screwed over was hilarious because everything played out exactly how Naze said it would. But ofc orga is a moron and didn't care.

Meanwhile Mika 5 minutes after orga dies threatening to genocide anyone in tekkadan if they got in his way because edge.

Show was a disaster and I hope okada never gets another writing gig for it
 

That's... pretty much how I feel about Iron Blood Orphans looking back at it.
Like I get the entire point of how the 2nd Season goes(As you stated, Tekkaden basically flew too close to the Sun and did stupid ass mistakes which bit them in the ass, same with McGinnis being a complete idiot depending on Bael with no other actual plan) but in execution, everyone turns up stupid and Rustal just brings in Dainslefs and destroys everyone because "realism".

Like Jasley's stupidity wouldn't have gotten Tekkaden removed from the protection they had, the group would have just served Jasley to them for how badly he fucked them over multiple times but they could have easily fixed it by having Rustal fuck them over as he has connection to the Underworld and they make mistakes thinking Rustal is small time till whoops, big ass fish. Then it would make sense they are cut off entirely and make more sense considering he later on has more pockets with that fat fuck who is able to use the media to make them person non-grata.

It would honestly give Rustal some real teeth too and have Tekkaden's fuck up legit make real sense and have real consequences.

It just ends up coming off real stupid and I say that remembering that as much as I hated Ali Al Sanchez, atleast he was fucking charismatic and whatever he did actually made sense and didn't insult anyone else(Even Sachi's sister ultimately died because she was barking up the wrong tree way before it was too late to save herself).

Yeah but in the disney version (which this is supposed to be a remake of) Hercules actually was the son of Zeus and Hera.

So unless they make either Zeus or Hera black, they'd have to go with Zeus being his mythologically accurate serial adulterer self in order to make sense of this and I seriously doubt woke as fuck modern Disney has the balls to do that when they didn't even do it in the 90s.
