Yeah Manga has too much contradictions to both Anime and Films to be the "true canon". It should be viewed more as it's own thing instead.

Like, the shock wave in the manga from BoG lacks the narrator’s weight informing the feats from BoG. It’s range is quaint in the manga, but Elder Kai might as well be full of shit on his own respective it’s actual power.
