Tbf young Sephiroth isn't emo. He's more socially awkward if anything. If I were to describe it more it would be as if Cloud sorta got what he wanted initially but unlike a theoretical Cloud that became a hero, drowned in accolades and joined Soldier, Sephiroth hates the status, finds it all to be largely fake bullshit since he hasn't even gone on many missions and wishes he could just live a normal life.

You know I really want to say that I'm surprised at that, but I just find that I'm not.
