Dude just comes across as super salty because Gen 4 is seen as the best (because it is, by a wide margin) and he likes the others better.

Like it's funny how he gives Gen 4 shit for the slice of life episodes having the same general formula and "easy villain defeats" while stanning for the other Generations. Despite the fact that everything he just said applies as much if not more so for the other Generations and the writing is simply better in general in Gen 4.

Like I hate to break it to you but there is a reason it was Gen 4 and not the others that exploded in popularity and why that popularity has fizzled ever since Gen 4 ended (in terms of the TV show anyway). :maybe
