As I am someone who is very curious, I gave myself the task of researching this weird chinese web toon.
I found out that it started as a web novel, that the Webtoon is hosted on a Tencent platform, but I didn't find anything official regarding GW in Chinese, although the language barrier is a problem.
It seems strange to me on the one hand that GW would not have sued when they have a headquarters in China, even more so if they can sue something like Tencent, the other is that it is a strange advertising campaign or there is another reason, but it is very strange when they even directly uses official art on the Webtoon.
