Check the radiator for leaks, check the break if it's working or any rusted shit, check the oil because that shit should be drained. that's basically the basic same shit with motorcycles. as for other shit yea don't know much about cars.
Engine is probably the last thing you'll have a problem with. Most engine can work for long even if left for years at most check if you have issue with it's piston. Just change oil, gas and other fluid that the car require.
