Haven't replied in here for awhile so I'll basically go and yap gums to make up for it:

Holy shit, I don't have any idea of what the fuck my tastes was back then because I decided to go look at some Avatar: Legend of Korra videos... and I found someone who is basically the fucking worst but changed their name(Lily Orchard/CD-Call) basically doing a redo of their Legend of Korra video and decided I had some time to kill and watched that... and I wanted to go and stab myself.
Like I'm not a fan of Youtubers who wear their politics on their sleeve, talk about politics a bit? Sure. Talk about how the assbackwards use of politics in the work basically sullies the work? Sure. But do I actually go well out of my way to watch political channels? Absolutely not... but that's basically what these Legend of Korra reviews was and they got so much worse lmfao.

There is nothing more hilarious, assbackwards and sad than seeing someone legit misunderstand the concept that yes, victims of abuse can be just as, if not more fucked up than the perpetrators. That "Colonization" is a concept that is not "good guys vs. bad guys" and is genuinely a nuanced issue that begins and ends with "How the fuck are you gonna tell people who was born there to leave because of what their ancestors/parents/grandparents did?". That it's perfectly okay for one side to do "Whatever it takes" to defeat the "oppressors" because the other side can do no wrong anymore and so on and so fucking forth.
Issues that are actually extremely complex is somehow just layered into the same Black and White shit that basically makes me laugh because when it gets to Zaheer, it's suddenly shit because "Anarchism is absolute shit" but no, Unalaq absolutely had good points because "Capitalism sucks" but never actually gives any reason for why Capitalism sucks major ass past the same retarded points that are given by shit College Professors that basically wants puppets, not actual thinkers. That Korra "never had a chance to be her own person" and just "Do her Avatar business" when the plenty of times she's done so, shit got worse. Or that and my most favorite thing:

The Creators had Korra consistently suffer because they had a Ryona fetish with Korra and spent long times watching her in agony and be in agony constantly... when anyone who would tell you, having a female be hurt at all tends to trigger protective instincts in people so it's an easy thing to have a female character get hurt for a FAR easier affect than a male character getting brutalized. Also, seems extremely weird to go "Well Sokka and Aang wasn't as focused on with their pain" and I'm like"1. Their fucking KIDS! 2. Aang fucking DIED ONSCREEN BY ELECTROCUTION! 3. Bloodbending somehow got massively amped up out of nowhere and the males was pretty brutalized too". Like, I tend to have these play in the background when I play games or about to hit the hay but man...
I tend to forget how there are plenty of Youtubers that just fully suck now or always have sucked but you can tend to just put it in the backburner in the past but they got ultra obnoxious now.
 
I think I know who you're talking about because I remember watching a youtuber making a review on Korra and he was just as much a commie shitlib whining about how much the equalists were a "strawman of communism" and trying to say Capitalism is the worst system of government next to Fascism and shit. Shit got so obnoxious especially when I saw his comments defending his words and using the old "REAL COMMUNISM HAS NEVER BEEN TRIED" and all that stupid shit when all I wanted was to see a critique of a shitty cartoon. Clicked off and just never looked back.
 

I think if invincibles animation was a bit smoother and more animated than pmuch just above moving jpeg level and had some more shading id be able to like the series much more.

Rn Im just comparing s3's animation to season 1, which had better animation despite the low budget, and the art style to the comics.
 

Yeah, that was most likely Lily Pete/Lily Orchard/CD-Call who... has alot of dirt that you can easily look into a Joon The King video for how it's the most obvious ones that have the most fucked up shit but back to the point.
Like real shit, I tend to sometimes just ignore a political talking point if I just want to understand how bad a video is but when it becomes the IDENTITY of a person's video to the point it's a stranglehold over everything they state? Yeah I'm out.

If you are wondering "Why the title looks familiar", yeah, it's most likely the same person. Like I have never seen someone outright state that the shit Korra goes through in her show is the equivalent to Ryona outright when the actual problems are thus:
1. Despite the show consistently stating Korra is a prodigy, she gets her ass kicked in the most asinine ways possible(Unlike Aang who was not a prodigy at all despite having to learn how to use all of the Elements in a YEAR).
2. Despite her Avatar State should be just as bullshit as we have seen from Aang or any other Avatar in the past(until Season 2 anyway...), Korra STILL gets her ass kicked in the most asinine ways(Again literally see how it's used in The Last Airbender or by the other Avatars in their lives).
3. Korra was suffering from insane levels of Mercury Poisoning, you asshole! In the same way we literally see Aang getting eletrocuted to shit, the Avatar State fucking falters entirely and Aang is killed for over a minute, it's extremely obvious why the show has us see her suffer and nearly die because the entire point of it was for her to go into her Avatar State and DIE IN IT!(This is like saying Vegeta getting destroyed by Frieza is meant to be Ryona when it's literally meant to show how much of a savage Frieza is basically beating a defeated man)

You can easily tell a person doesn't know what Ryona is or the fact that there is an easily identifiable difference if the author/writers indulge in it or not when they say stupid shit like that. Like goddamn, that is a fucking choice.

It's honestly funny because it's not even that hard to explain why Korra is ultimately a shitty character without going to these retarded extremes:

1. She constantly loses fights she has no reason to lose despite being a prodigy and having the Avatar State which makes her look more pathetic than she should be.
2. While she's meant to be the opposite mirror to Aang, she doesn't really learn anything or become a better person, she's ultimately just a static character from beginning to end.
3. In keeping with that, Korra's main development throughout the entire series(learning to Airbend) is literally solved in Season 1 and thus, she has absolutely nothing to do while the spiritual side of things is just randomly done out of nowhere(Which makes sense as 2 and 3 was done when it was meant to be a mini-series and thus just one season).
