In fairness heel or at least a much darker Cody going into Mania is not out of the question, what with him already doing things like posing above Kevin Owens broken body at the Rumble after almost ending the man by dropping him head first on a ladder. Not to mention we had Punk effectively saying the pressure of Cody's position and all his friends turning on him was getting to him. :maybe

I reckon this was just a response to people who didn't like The Rock breaking kayfabe at the Netflix premier and just to remind people that Rock vs Cody WILL happen at some point, just not yet.

At least unless The Rock genuinely wants to take ANOTHER main event spot from CM Punk (assuming he wins the chamber), since it's not exactly been uncommon. :mjpls

It was exactly what this WrestleMania needed.

I had a bad feeling we could be in for a WrestleMania 27 scenario where everyone's overlooking this year to set up next year but Rock saying "I want your soul" so climatically might mean not.

All those dorks in the chamber would get cucked if that's the case, though.
 


What in the fuck are we doing with Drew? How the hell did he go from one of the best things in Wrestling of 2024 (certainly post-Wrestlemania anyway) to taking Ls to Jimmy Uso.

Like I understand Jey whose in a main event push, I understand Seth who is already a main eventer but I don't understand this. Jimmy Uso is still a mid-carder at best and Drew should not even be struggling this much with him, much less losing. Especially when the man is in a WWE title Elimination Chamber to headline Wrestlemania next week.



Still making the most of what he's being given mind you, but we went from Drew vs Roman being a legitimate possibility to Drew vs Priest being the best we can reasonably hope for the guy. At least Drew vs Priest does have some story behind it and I'm sure it'll be a great match (provided Priest doesn't fuck his leg up on the ropes again like last time) but Drew deserved a lot better for putting the work in.

So does Priest for that matter but at least there, I can see what happened. That being that the Priest, Gunther, Balor feud was trash and people don't like him not taking pins. Hopefully people will shut up on that last front after he's eliminated from the Chamber.



Though I can't wait to hear people bitch about Priest getting the pin on someone who pinned Roman basically clean last year. :mjpls
 


Yeah I didn't mention this on Thursday but Jesus Christ, this was bad.

Thunder Rosa comes out there with a steel chair to save Statlander and drive off the heels and Bayne and Penelope just fucking stood there. Instead of leaving the ring, they almost DARED her to hit them with the chair which she obviously wasn't' supposed to do as she went to swing but stopped short. Penelope even tried to tug of war the chair off Thunder.

Either Penelope and Megan went into business for themselves here, or Tony Khan is being petty and making Thunder Rosa look stupid because she keeps praising every AEW star who debuts on WWE and that most of her dream matches are WWE women.

She should have just hit them, they obviously went off-script. What's Tony gonna do? Fire her? She'd probably be elated at this point. Triple H or Shawn Micheals would be on the phone with her within 24 hours and she'd be on NXT in a matter of weeks feuding with Stephanie Vaquer for the Women's North American title. Win/win.

All I know is Thunder Rosa needs to get out that shit-show at nearest opportunity.
 
Thunder Rosa's title reign was one of the major reasons AEW started to suck in 2022. Awful. Hard pass on her being in WWE.

I see well I can't comment on 2022 or her title reign, I can only really comment on what I have seen.

I've enjoyed what I've seen of her, both from a character and a wrestling perspective. Obviously she's no Toni Storm or Mariah May but I don't find her as forgettable as most AEW women.

Personally I wouldn't mind her in NXT at least. My only issue is that NXT already has more women than they know what to do with. I suppose TNA is also an option. I just want her out of AEW because Tony Khan is actively making a fool of her at this point.
