Because Jey Uso can actually tell a fucking story, both in AND outside of the ring. We KNOW he can do this because he's done it before, when he was part of the Bloodline story. Hell that's how he got so runaway over in the fucking first place. Sure the Wrestlemania build for the Gunther feud was shit until a couple weeks ago but that's not Jey's fault, it's Triple H's for getting lazy and just coasting on Jey's popularity
Will Ospreay meanwhile, can't cut a decent promo to save his life, consistently needs to be carried by far better storytellers (and frankly wrestlers in general) like Swerve Strickland or MJF to generate any real interest, can't be bothered to actually sell moves in the ring and basically just tries to coast on sheer athleticism and having "good matches" (that in reality are fucking boring).
You can't tell me, in good faith, that "being able to tell a story in the ring" is one of the qualities of a great professional wrestler, yet in the same breath, INSIST that Will Ospreay is "the best professional wrestler in the world" when he's consistently demonstrated that he either CAN'T or WON'T do that. The man isn't even in the top 10 wrestlers of his own company, much less the entire world.
Legitimately the most OVERRATED Wrestler in the entire industry right now by far.
Like I'll take Will Ospreay as champion ONLY because he's better than the alternative (ie more Jon Moxley) but does he have ANY business doing it over Adam Page? FUCK NO! Hangman's consistently one of the few highlights the company has, All In is in his home state and it makes WAY more sense for a guy who made his name IN AEW to be the one to save the company from Mox and the Death Riders.

Nothing cheers me up faster than watching any variation of the Heroes beat the shit out of the Meta.

It's why I got over Will Ospreay the second I seen him actually talk and have his head up his own ass like most indie stars do.
Man is literally coasting on Dave Meltzer's star rankings and... that's it.
He's athletic but like Ricochet, he can't speak worth shit, he's literally Seth Rollins but worse when it comes to selling and that's fucking insanity considering how little Seth Rollins sells anything and he's way too overly choreographed to the point it becomes absolutely distracting seeing him wrestle.
He's literally the worst of all worlds and he only ever gets a pass by the IWC because if Will somehow found himself in the WWE, he would not be cheered and would be jeered to shit and even have been given a whole ass new form of X-Pac Heat for it.
