While true they did try using the force to hit him from afar and he just jumped too fast for them to catch him plus the other times could just be the Jedi Code working against them as crushing someone's organs is a very Sith thing to do. Windu being the kind of Jedi who deals with the Dark Side more than most is one of the few to actually use it due to his greater discipline. The first group didn't even know he had organs and were more concerned with not getting diced to pieces, they literally didn't have the time to try this.

Correct me if I'm wrong but iirc wasn't Windu also less specialized in using Force abilities itself than he was with a lightsaber? I don't remember where I read that from, but if that's true that also implies that Windu not only almost instantly killed Grievous, he did so without even being at his best. Which wouldn't surprise me if that were the case, because Windu beat the same Palpatine that almost killed Luke and actually killed Vader years later. While true they did try using the force to hit him from afar and he just jumped too fast for them to catch him plus the other times could just be the Jedi Code working against them as crushing someone's organs is a very Sith thing to do. I heard he is maybe not as powerful in the force as Yoda but that does not mean he is not powerful on his own. I think he is the better duelist of the two but a lot of his good performance against Sidious (in the old EU at least) was that his Saber style, Vaapaad, allowed him to channel the Dark Side against their own users, making him almost a kryptonite against Dark Side users, and an ability called Shatterpoints which allows him to see and strike at the weakest points of his enemy. Windu had to use both of these at their fullest extent against Sidious which was dangerous because Vaapaad in particular can just as easily lead you to the Dark Side as it can combat it since you're essentially drawing upon the Dark Side power of someone else to beat them. At the same time I don't remember if Windu could use Tutaminis(the ability to reflect energies such as Force Lightning that you see Yoda use in AOTC and ROTS) or at least don't think if he could do it as well as Yoda.Correct me if I'm wrong but iirc wasn't Windu also less specialized in using Force abilities itself than he was with a lightsaber? Man, this series was so good.
Man do I wish we got a full series of this instead of TCW, this was far closer to the comics and novels at the time and felt way cooler in presentation and connecting the films.
