Lucci is also kind of a barometer here because he was shown to knock Sai back during Levely trying to save ShirahoshiRandom thought popped into my head
Charlos is kind of a point of comparison between SA Luffy and Sai much the way that the Numbers are a connection and comparison point to Oars from Thriller Bark
I mean
Yes. But people were doubting if the laser failed or the princes dodged.Yeah. Iirc that scene happened in the manga as well.
Can you show the panel of the chapter to compare?Yes. But people were doubting if the laser failed or the princes dodged.

So the rat was Yassop all along! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree...
Shanks had to end Kidd asap.
That alone tells you how strong Kidd is. He saw a future where Kidd wiped out a large chunk of his fleet. That's why Shanks went all out from the get go. Kidd was a danger. Bartolomeo is not, that's why they waited a month to take care of it.
Yassop should have shot at the Blackbeard Pirates in Marinford. It's nice that Yasopp after 27 years finally has a better feat than shooting an apple from a distance real life person could make, but man... this did him no favors as a character.
I actually disagree. I think it added to his character. Sure, dick move, but as a Yonko crew It was necessary to show they're not to be fucked with by anyone, that they mean business and you will never challenge their authority and definitely not encroach upon their territory and get away with it because you're a friend of. They did burn their flag which is practically a declaration of war. I also believe he knew they'd survive since he didn't seem to have any intentions of killing them. And sure, that explosion and narration seem like he didn't give a shit but we all know how One Piece is when it comes to these type of moments. It's nice that Yasopp after 27 years finally has a better feat than shooting an apple from a distance real life person could make, but man... this did him no favors as a character. This makes the whole crew look like massive assholes for gunning Barto down after he passed their loyalty test and they let him go.

I see it as Yasopp upholding the standard to an extent which shows you how much he values their crew and flag, and what it means to him. Just because you've proven loyalty to a friendly crew of theirs doesn't mean you get to piss on their flag and get away with it.
Also, it appears that Barto got the wrong idea that they're "soft" because of that "pass" he got. So him going around running his mouth on how he burned the Red Hair flag and got away with it free of charge could give other punks the wrong idea.
I think its cool because that’s half and half what Shanks is. He’s heroic but not a hero and they are still Pirate Emperors anyhow. If they just destroyed the Barto Club then that would have been fine, it was doing all of that other stuff just to destroy them anyways that's a bad look.
Like Oda should have picked a path he wanted to go with. Either have him subjected to the poison test where he proves his character and is shown some mercy because of it being allowed to sail free or just remain prisoner... or have the Red Hair pirates roll up and wipe him out with no hesitation. Either one is fine by itself in a vacuum, but doing both and forcing Bartolomeo to take the poison test and tricking him into thinking he's free to go, only to nuke then them anyways as they were leaving is something a villain does.
I think this is a pretty black and white way of looking at it. That moment added nuance to his character and the RHP as a crew, if anything. If they just destroyed the Barto Club then that would have been fine, it was doing all of that other stuff just to destroy them anyways that's a bad look.
