Which is the same way Sengoku fights too. And the One Piece movie showed that Kizaru was Sengoku’s protege the same way Kuzan was with Garp

He taught Sentomaru barrier haki. So Oda was showcasing that I suppose. I also noticed explosions behind luffy which means he was also dodging every light beam Kizaru threw at him. Pretty cool that Kizaru can spawn lasers while blocking.

Barrier Haki seems to be Ryuo, right? Since it’s externally emitting Haki as a barrier.

Barrier Haki is an Advanced version of Haki yes. To outwardly project Haki to block. It's a different form of internal destruction haki you could say.
