Point about Harry Potter

Dumbledore

Snape

McGonagall

Harry

Could have been sorted easily into ravenclaw. The only one that was a prodigy that didn’t fit was Bellatrix who was undoubtedly a slytherin. Ron should’ve gone to hufflepuff. But it was Harry’s destiny that brought everyone into gryffindor and slytherin. Otherwise, had the task of killing Voldemort not been assigned to Harry, they would’ve all been in ravenclaw.

I'm curious of the alt universe where Harry actually gets put into Slytherin and how that would have altered the timeline of events :hm

Alternate universe Harry would be another Grindelwald .

Instead of championing Muggle he would have wanted Muggles world be ruled by Wizards .

To be a Ravenclaw, you have to actually be smart and shit, Harry is too much of a dumbo to get into Ravenclaw. :kobeha

I agree with Hermione though and that the series should have had one main character from every house, not just Griffindor.

So like, a Dumbledore and Grindelwald repeat? What about the influence of Dumbledore though? One has to remember that he would have taken an interest in Harry regardless. Would his wisdom and guidance be enough to push Harry away from that path as a Slytherin? Would it perhaps have even affected Draco? What about the change in interactions between Snape/Draco/Harry?
McGonagall/Harry? Hagrid/Harry? I think this changes a TON of dynamics and they all have SUUUUUUPER interesting consequences.

What about Harry's general character? Prior to Hogwarts there's no reason for it to change. So he's still a humble, bullied, ostracized kid in his own mind with good character because of what he's faced. He knows right from wrong. Would he change Draco?
You mean Harry x Hermione to me they were like brother and sister . Had feeling Ron x Hermione was canon from part 2 when she stopped herself from hugging Ron when she recovered .
I dunno I'm not sure Romione chemistry was built up all that well. Nor was the Harry Ginny, like Harry literally figures out Ginny is an option in book 6. Ron and Hermione don't get anything truly clear until book 4.

Legit Harry just woke up one day and was like... damn you know I really like redheads, but it can't be Ron soooooooooooooooo

I dont think so, they build up his own moral code pretty well at the start. He's a good person before he even goes to Hogwarts. He told Draco to F off before getting sorted because of the way he was being, and actively said he didn't want to go into Slytherin due to their reputation.

When it would have gotten really interesting, is when he started embracing his dark side later on and was having a bit of an identity crisis! He wouldn't have had his good people friends to lean on.

Agree, Hermione was 100% a Ravenclaw. Harry didn't fit. Was way more bravery and natural talent rather than smarts

but those in slytherin are smarter and more calculated, fr
wouldnt say they're smarter, just more cutthroat. IE they can use their brains to get ahead rather than being super smart.

Crabb and Goyle were Slytherin remember
