Rayman feats & lore thread

Rayman has demonstrated an incredible regenerative ability on several occasions, such as coming back from being crushed, reduced to ashes, or even completely erased from existence.

Rayman's punches not only cause physical damage but also come with several potent side effects. Characters hit by Rayman can be turned into stars or even transformed from ghosts into insects.

He is able to disintegrate the souls of the dead in haunted mansions and swamps.

Rayman can completely erase Hoodlums from existence after hitting them.

Rayman can nullify resistance to his abilities, eventually affecting enemies who were previously immune to his fists.

Defeated enemies are also reduced in size, losing their stats and powers.

Unlike the other inhabitants of the Glade of Dreams, Rayman was not dreamed by Polokus. Instead, he was created by the nymphs as a hero to protect the Glade of Dreams, forming his body from the conceptual light of the Lums. The Lums created Polokus simply by thinking of him and granted him the ability to make his dreams come true.

The Lums are fundamental components of Rayman's universe, shaping all existence at a fundamental level. Rayman's universe is abstract, existing as metaphysical and imaginative constructs of Polokus, who created all concepts, including time and existence itself.

Everything in the universe is made of energy, as the universe is purely energy. Thus, everything we see is composed entirely of Lums. Lums exist only as light and spiritual energy, which means they are intangible and not physically solid.

The photographer who appears in Rayman 1 and Rayman Origins exists to save Rayman's progress, a fact the characters are aware of as they pose for his pictures each time they encounter him.

“He is there to immortalize your feats! When you lose a life, you start again in the last place where he took a picture of you.”

In Rayman 2, the green Lums serve the sole purpose of saving the game, a role known to the characters since Ly created them specifically to assist Rayman.

This understanding is logical, as the characters frequently acknowledge the player's existence. Globox and Murfy are aware that their world is just a video game and that Rayman is under the player's control. Additionally, Globox even asks how many times Rayman has lost since starting the game, reinforcing this awareness.

It's important to note that Rayman's save point does not require his death. It activates even if he is incapacitated or makes a wrong decision leading to a bad ending, ensuring progress is saved regardless of the outcome.

Rayman can scare the tall Livingstones. When they see his grimace, they are driven mad with fear and start to run uncontrollably, often leading to their demise.

Rayman can convert Black Lums back into Red Lums by making them laugh after defeating their Hoodlum costumes.

On multiple occasions, Rayman has demonstrated the ability to force his enemies to dance. The first instance occurs in Rayman Raving Rabbids, where he can turn on a radio that forces the Rabbids to dance, allowing him to defeat them and even erase them from existence. Another instance is in Rayman Legends, where he can make the bosses start dancing.

In Rayman 2, Rayman can create portals when dancing, with the help of a Teensie. These portals allow him to return to the Corridor of Doors.

Additionally, with the powers of Polokus, Rayman can turn his dreams and imagination into reality. He can create fictitious objects just by drawing them, which he primarily uses to throw objects at the Rabbids.

Rayman has demonstrated various ways to control time, including turning it back when he loses and stopping it completely.

In one commercial, Rayman directly exits the game into the real world and interacts with the viewer.

After defeating the champion Reflux, the King of the Knaaren granted Rayman the power of their god, Leptys, which bestowed upon him new abilities. With the power of Leptys, André planned to clone himself an infinite number of times.

By making the Lums laugh, Rayman can purify them and save them from corruption.

The mere appearance of Leptys can create a starry sky.

Rayman can teleport, completely disappearing from the sight of others.
