Spectre vs trigon

According to the Monitor, The Spectre and Trigon have a similar power level. But if taking DC All In Special into account I'm gonna say The Spectre.

True Darkseid rampaged all over Hell looking to merge with The Spectre with none of the Satanic Triumvirate able to stop him, Lady Blaze settling for offering him up any deal to get him to leave and Trigon standing on the side like a bitch pleading for Darkseid to stop.

The Spectre himself was so powerful Darkseid needed the Miracle Machine to wish for him to take Spectre's power for himself because he couldn't do it forcefully.

The Spectre>True Darkseid>=Trigon
is how I see the current power-scaling of the characters.

Trigon should take it, given that he fought and survived a fight with the presence and just his bloodline causes the heavens to ban entry to heroes when someone with connection to him is around.

I doubt he scales to Unkindness Raven, but even without, he should be able to win.

If we take side and non canon stories into account for Spectre then we also should allow the same for Trigon who fights evenly with 5D imps either.

So sticking with my gut here.

He never did
Believe it or not, yes. They’ve fought.

Before I begin though, it’s worth noting that Trigon is NOT the Satan or Devil of the DC Universe. There are multiple “devils” in the DCU, one of which is indeed Satan or the fallen angel, Lucifer.

Anyway…

In DC’s New 52 “Futures End” event, the Phantom Stranger is called to a new the Council of Eternity to face final judgement. The Council is formed of the most despicable and terrible foes the Stranger’s ever condemned on behalf of his master, the Presence.

Of the Council is its head, Trigon.

Failing to accomplish their duty in it’s eyes, the Presence appears in front of the Council to deliver divine wrath upon them. This occurs “off-page,” however presumably ended with the Presence victorious as he then remarks about forming “another” Council of Eternity to the Stranger.

Unfortunately for those who wish this was canon, it is not. Rather, “Futures End” was an offshoot of the mainstream DC timeline at that point.

Long story short he never did survive fighting the presence

Thank you, but I don’t really understand how that is meant to debunk anything? The argument was that Trigon survives the fight with the presence, not that he gets his old job back.

just like there is only one presence, there is only one Trigon, and that Trigon is active and around in subsequent runs in the new52 iteration of DC.
