Theory: Ratchet has positioned himself very safely and where he isn't going to catch the fallout for anything that happens, but someone else of influence (ultra for soul, me for sparkles) will. He's framed this as trying to gain a read on us by pushing our wagons rather than having any real suspicion on the wagon targets themselves. But he also hasn't really pushed anything himself. His reads list was conditional on a sparkles town flip, for example. Here Soul claims watcher and ratchet backs off and looks for a safe landing on saber. I don't think he expects saber to get lynched, he just doesn't want to be part of a mislynch on the watcher. So, I guess I see it more likely he's bussing saber than the idea that he was bussing soul or sparkles. So of those three options (soul, sparkles, saber) I'd rather go saber. I mean ratchet would be my first choice but I don't see that happening

Basically I’d forgotten about him and then I saw ratchet say he’s been really disengaged compared to his recent town games and I realised that’s 100% correct. Last couple of games I played with him, I found it really easy to find him as town both times whereas here he hasn’t done anything and seems a bit scared to get involved

Counter theory: Ratchet positioned himself on Soul knowing the Watcher claim would probably buy him a day, and then backed off with ironclad argument. Doesn't require that many assumptions

I just got done playing a game where I was scum, and he was town, and he tunneled me for about a week straight and had 700 posts of solving content when all was said and done
