Right, but if you are focused on trying to corner someone, then that's your motivation. If you have a scum read of someone, then sure, you can corner them, but your motivation is to get them lynched (once you're certain) or try to further evidence your read. I think, if you consider the context here, Ultra is saying two players he thinks are town are offering amnesty towards SCCHAMP, while Ratchet is trying to corner him. This isn't independent of alignment at all, which is what I'm saying is uncharitable.

I do agree with this - I think it's entirely possible for Sky to disagree with how someone is reading another, even to think it's entirely manufactured, and also not scum read the person. I think Sky tends to have a cynical view of other people, specific people at least, and she herself often fabricates reads for what she perceives to be her own benefit, so I could see her expecting the same of other players whom she has... little regard for.

Im not expecting her to sus ultra really, I raised that as another point that if she was being genuine in her defence of me, then you'd expect that to follow considering she thinks he's largely talking shit. My main point about her is that she put so much effort into defending me at all. Again, defending people isn't really her style in general as she's a bloodhound, but even less so when it comes to someone like me
