A watcher is more powerful than a tracker lol, and the fact that they get an obvious clear with the firefighter and didn’t take it isn’t a sign that it worked well, just that town was bad for it.
I felt we didn’t really have any power at all, a 4 shot bodyguard in a small game is very powerful, and we had very little to claim which meant even the motion detector (with zero room to WIFOM their results because they’re made public) was more powerful because it could catch us doing stuff we shouldn’t be doing
We were also down a number based on the conventional splitting conventions
I’m not trying to argue it was some abysmal set up or anything or that it was massively one sided. I always vent in the scum chat lol, it shouldn’t really be taken seriously unless I’m actually bitching at you but I was mostly posting tongue in cheek. But it was a very very weak scum team and I think it got a bit lucky that it randed a strong team.
Also we were mostly just getting frustrated about the phase lengths lol, 48 hrs annoying as fuck
Watcher is nominally a bit better than Tracker but I'd argue in a set up without any direct "point and acquire free information" roles as mentioned above, Tracker is better. Gad had 0 clue what he was doing lol. Town's ability to wield roles here is pretty terrible.
You also have to consider concentration of power roles allowing room for more people to be suspected, if lets say I were to split the firefighter and the Watcher, even if either role isn't clear on paper you have more opportunity for townies to derp clear themselves
I find 4 shots is about what is required here for BG not to be completely useless lol.
The Motion Detector was my biggest gimmick of the game. MD is dogshit so the public result offsets it just a bit. Idk if you realized this but RDK's role was essentially a framer in this regard, he would always produce a positive result when investigated himself but could muddy the results if you predicted who nibel was going to visit

All in all most games here are driven by strong power roles and role dynamics that allow for free/easy clears upon select flips. It can't be understated how much your team benefitted from nobody being able to clear out PoE slots with abilities directly.
My goal was to subvert expectations on the rolespec end to punish it a bit and this came into play quite frequently (3/5 town PRs had protective utility, no Vig, Hime being Ninja and Watch/Motion being town, etc.). I maintain that in most other games on here if you felt "boxed" you probably would have been smoked. The majority of ranked games ran have had like 75% power roles or sometimes north of that, and pretty routine role dynamics (Godfather flip clears cop, x can't exist with y, yada yada).
I did make the role strength of mafia a
bit tepid, but also, this is an adjustment for how dogshit town usually is, so it balances out. How many times do you see shit like doctor claiming day 2 and getting strongmanned, etc. I also think skilled mafia teams don't really need much to make the most out of your tools. You guys basically were equipped with everything needed to tackled the obstacles in this game even with some minor setbacks.
