[Toaru] Accelerator vs Niang-Niang

I don't remember if I made this thread here already but w/e.

Niang-Niang is as of NT22.
Neither have prep.
Wincon is death.

Round 1: Accelerator is as of start of NT22 before he got his upgrades. (He only has Qliphah)
Round 2: Accelerator has clonoth, Qliphah, and plat wings (end of NT22).

So nerfed Niang-Niang

Always felt like Magic Gods were sand bagging the fight. Accel can stop their actual power just like he did Magick Flaming Sword, but assuming even nerfed they have Othinus’ moveset, nothings stopping them from simply rewriting the timeline so that Accel was never born

What gives you the indication they have her phase manip abilities without phase manip of their own?

I said assuming they do
 
There's no reason to assume they do, at least after Aleister's nerf.

Nephthys was the specific exception in regards to having her one-time use of phase manipulation.

I mean you just said Sparks>Flaming sword in response to me saying they fuck with causality and should be able to bypass vector shield.

That implies that you're claiming Sparks scale above Flaming Sword because they can bypass his vector control. But that's simply not how it works, vector control does not look at magnitude when reflecting objects.

How strong the reflected objects are has no bearing to whether they get reflected or not- it's how they interact with the world around them that decides that.

For example- I'm sure that Gugnir would be able to bypass vector control because it has space-time fuckery. Flaming Sword is stronger but it's just a bolt of raw telesma that negates other powers, it's fairy simple to counter.
 
I actually disagree on this. Accelerator should be able to tear apart something like Gungnir just fine with vector control, even if he's not automatically able to ignore it because of his higher soul (which is no longer that of a human's post NT-22), but I digress, since this getting a tad bit off-topic, as Othinus is not in the thread.





More relevantly to the thread, can't he just tear apart Niang-Niang with a single drop of water (or by kicking a rock, etc) like he did to Nephthys?
This should be something he can do in both rounds.

On paper, bar Niang-Niang's sparks (which should be her only win condition), her arsenal is just straight up ass compared to Accelerator's.

(Why do MGs have only one or two impressive spells lmao, are their powersets actually terrible outside of their phase manipulation?)
 
Where is it said Flaming;Sword is made out of Telesma btw?
 
Isn't Accelerator's reflection ability just him altering approaching vectors and making them change direction?

My knowledge of Toaru is limited since I'm in the first half of NT but hasn't his vector shield also been bypassed more than once before?

Can someone explain the limits of Accelerator's vector shield? I'd like to become more informed on his powers and weaknesses.
 
I think this might warrant a thread of its own, like how we had a thread regarding the intricacies of Imagine Breaker (for Touma, obviously).

You can make it if you want.
 
Too many instances to list. The weaknesses end up being whatever the author ends up feeling like, even sprinklers.

Yeah, but Nepthys was jobbing during that fight. I don't think she would have lost to these tricks had she been seriously fighting.

And while you can use this argument, taking a fight seriously doesn't make you any more durable (although raw durability isn't particularly relevant for several reasons against him, but I digress).
