Q: Is the Challenge of the GoBots cartoon canon for Transformers? Alignment? How about G.I. Joe?
A: GoBots are, yes, though in a very distant part of the multiverse. Gobotron is an aspect of Primus, and the Unicron defeated in Primax 703.02 Gamma hailed from that dimension. Alignment is canon for the Primax 984.0 Gamma universe. G.I. Joe is a complicated case. The events depicted in the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero cartoon are canon for Primax 984.17 Alpha. So are C.O.P.S., Inhumanoids, even Jem and the Holograms. The events depicted in the 155 issue Marvel series are canon for Primax 984.0 Gamma. Otherwise, it varies.
That quora post was true ig, but the multiverse scaling was wrongto be fair they were clearly keyword searching for Liege’s name and not only is his name not mentioned here this answer wasn’t from the facebook q&a it’s from when it was hosted on the main website which tfwiki lists separately, so easy to miss, but the information is ultimately there
TFW: Is the Legacy “philosophy” of including all continuities now pretty much a permanent thing in Generations going forward?
John: Not necessarily. So the way the Legacy line is handled right now, it’s an extra-dimensional battle, it invites all of the different continuities to join under a single umbrella. What’s wonderful about it is it’s given us an opportunity to do Armada, RID, Beast Wars, Beast Wars Neo, all sorts of continuities. As we look to the future, we will continue to pinpoint elements of the fandom, but Legacy as a line will certainly evolve as we do at Hasbro. Typically what we do is we create “sub-universes”, not unlike the Prime Wars Trilogy, or the WFC Trilogy. There’s more to come, we have yet to reveal some of these things. But know that there will be an umbrella sort of brand that does touch on multiple collecting eras from the Transformers universe. More to come!
I mean Ramjet was referring to the universes he has absorbed and him wielding their power. Not as in IDW or others since IDW has it's own thing and the Dead Universe there is a pocket dimension.Still, it's interesting what the dead universes whose power Ramjet wielded are, either the universes destroyed and absorbed by Unicron, or those that exist in Idw and Cybertron trilogy siege.
How do you think?
