Transformers feats/discussion

Compilation of IDW movie comics feats:

1.) Starscream is inside a ship that crashes on a Cybetronian city, which destroys the city. The narration says the burning sky engulfs the city. Source: Reign of Starscream.

The ship landed on a teleporter when it crashed, so its remains, alongside Starscream, was teleported to Mars. Starscream is shown with relatively minor injuries, like a broken wing (not depicted in the page below. I am not posting every page).

The ship's size is a bit unclear and is possibly inconsistent but in the issue where it explodes, it doesn't seem all that much bigger than Starscream, extrapolating from that big spike on top of the ship, which can also be seen in the third panel of the second scan, where Starscream is also visible. Therefore, it can be said that SS wasn't far away from the epicenter of the explosion considering the ship wasn't all that bigger than him and he was inside the ship:

2.) Shockwave landing on Earth causes the Tunguska event. He survives but is knocked into stasis lock. Source: Rising Storm.

While the narration does mention that he was boarding a ship, I doubt that offered much protection to him, considering that the remains of the ship is nowhere to be found, implying it was obliterated by the impact.

3.) The Ark crashlanding on the Moon is shown to cause a massive impact on the moon. The Ark largely survives the impact. Source: Rising Storm.

Yet, Starscream heavily managed to damage the same ship prior (to the point where all on board were knocke into stasis lock according to a prose story in the DOTM Adaptation comic) meaning his missiles should scale to that impact shown above.

In a prose story, Soundwave notices that the hull of Ark was breached, but concludes that it happened before their ship collided with the Ark and before the Ark crashlanded on the Moon (what happened prior to Ark colliding with Nemesis was that it was shot and damaged by Starscream, as shown above). This seems to imply that the Ark colliding with Nemesis or it crashlanding on the Moon didn't really deal any real damage to the ship's hull, and only Starscream's missiles did so.

Galvatron essentially wants to absorb the most powerful source of energy on this planet, that is, all the energy of the earth's core.

The galvatron's action is to pump the energy of the earth's core through the volcano into its siphon, and all these actions will lead to destruction throughout the continent and will even threaten the planet.1663879797_0.89619100.jpg1663879799_0.70045400 (2).jpg
Galvatron and Ultra Magnus tanked this release of energy from the volcano and the earth's core, although it was limited by the siphon, but only on a scale apparently, so in any case they took all the damage.main-qimg-bc74b566d0a45cf02daf01fb5e477c0a-pjlq_4.jpgmain-qimg-8cd8ddd2a752476a0e4638d81ace9bed-pjlq_3.jpg

I am not 100% on this one but Decepticons survive a city coming on top of them. Source: Defiance.

As you can read from the second scan, the city is unstable due to the power lines being damaged in a prior battle that took place there. Why I am not 100% on this is whether this would be considered a chain reaction or not.

However, we do see that after the initial charges go off (where they are shown to go off right next to the Decepticons in panel 4 of the last scan), that there is only one large boom. So, it might have been one massive explosion that brought the city down (and consideeing the epicenter would be where the charges go off, then the Decepticons were close to the epicenter of the explosion).

alright i have to know what the fuck do furman and g1 writers think is inside the earths core galvatron thinks its gonna make planets, galaxies, and universes kneel before him

this isnt even the first time in the toon they think drilling into the earths core will make the planet explode

fuck is inside the earths core in g1

Are these explosions in Cybertron's surface or just energy discharges or something coming from the planet itself? Don't think I have seen Cybertron depicted with random energy discharges. IDK which one it would be.

2:38, Starscream survives an explosion that very quickly kicks up dust all the way at the edge of the cliff where Ratchet and Sideswipe are standing (SS was falling for at least hundreds of feet, extrapolating from Starscream's height, so the explosion affects a fairly large distance). Idk how impressive this is exactly.

Megatron punches Starscream so hard the shockwave uproots a tree and destroys a house in the distance. According to Google, the average tree is 25-40 feet. So, the trees and the house should be quite far from Megatron. IIRC, Transformers were drawn mostly accurate to their movie heights in this comic, but I'd have to recheck. @OtherGalaxy What do you think about this? I am unsure if they are explosions. For what it's worth, this is one of the only times we see IDW Movie Cybertron depicted DURING the Transformers war. In the pre-war or post-war era, it was not depicted with those giant blasts (albeit those were drawn by different artists and not Alex Milne).

lol tf artists have a tendency to draw gigantic fucking explosions on cybertron

or animate them

see the WFC game trailer where theres fuckin continent-planet sized explosions all over cybertron

At the very beginning, Wheeljack claims that this is one of the most dangerous star systems in the galaxy, where gamma bursts and planetoid collisions constantly occur.

2:05 at this point Optimus was tanking the Gamma Burst which was destroying asteroids from the destroyed planetoids and was able to outrun the Gamma Burst.

7651671-screenshot_20201105-050609.jpgThe Dark of the Moon novel adaptation states that Xantium's (the ship that was supposedly to carry the Autobots offworld in DOTM) engines would blow a hole in the atmosphere that would make the one in the ozone layer look like a gopher hole. And that is why they used human shuttle engines for Xantium according to the novel.

I think if Transformers can build engines with power like this, then it's probably safe to assume they can build regular weapons of mass destruction on such levels as well, like nukes.

BTW, I mentioned this before but didn't put the scan.

Edit:

The Ozone hole. The novel was published in 2011.

I do think it is a similiar case to the WFC game trailer but I was unsure.

For what it's worth, those spiky explosions I showed seem to be consistent in shape with how Alex Milne (the artist that drew those Cybertron pages) draws massive explosions. Case in point;
AIL4fc9T_bTYG2yEBRmJVHJe7sVyyQVT8BvCx3kYtRtQbpGB4DC-nKmPM-M6U1iW7ofGjx0QXqTSJptrgFPBkn7lxhyQ_wdkZVHP-DbguvZvCVlPmwnXuFQ=s0

So, they are probably indeed explosions. Especially since them simply being random energy discharges from below Cybertron's surface instead of explosions sounds kinda random (Cybertron has never been portrayed with random energy discharges coming out of below its surface to my knowledge).

Piranacon can destroy the Empire State Building with his powerful blows and also wipe out a city if he is not stopped.
Code:
And he is to be right: Just before midnight, life suddenly enters the gigantic, metallic-shining statue. SNAP TRAP transforms into the super-robot PIRRANACON, and takes course for the city. Firing wildly, the heavyweight colossus stomps through the streets. And his blasters are emitting neutron rays that eradicate all life...

"It's unbelievable!" rages LANDFILL "He's on a mission to lay waste to the city. And during this, the other Decepticons will surely attack different targets."

It is so. Via AUTOBOT-radio, they receive news from the Arc about the infiltrating DECEPTICONS in the refineries and space travel laboratories, leaving a trail of destruction there, too.

"OPTIMUS PRIME! What shall we do?" SCOOP's face is marked by fear and resentment. "We protect the humans" the Autobots hear from the voice of their POWERMASTER. "But we can't be everywhere! And it would be dangerous to face the DECEPTICONS by ones. First, we stop SNAP TRAP. And then we'll see!"

The colossus, certainly not expecting resistance, comes to a halt under the massive defense efforts of the AUTOBOTS. Before he brings the Empire State Building to collapse with one last mighty blow, the SPARKLER MINIBOTS hang on to him like burdocks and wrangle the dangerous blasters and laser-systems from the lumbering SNAP TRAP. Immediately, SCOOP and QUICKMIX are at the ready, and lead him to fall.
