UNSC vs. An Imperial Guard Regiment

The age-old SB question.

For the purposes of the matchup, both sides have equal forces and numbers and the UNSC is at Covenant War tech level.

Match 1: Cadian Shock Troops (generic NATO/modern-day army, a bit heavier on infantry than armor)

Match 2: Armageddon Steel Legion (tank army with parking lots of IFVs)

Match 3: Mordian Iron Guard (ACW/Early Modern army, with tanks and body armor)

Bonus Match: A Skitarii Cohort (equal to a regiment, if a bit smaller but with way deadlier and stranger weapons)

Powered Armor refers to enhanced armored suits and mechs either worn or piloted by Mobile Infantry troopers. It is the reason why M.I. is called "Mobile Infantry" instead of simply "Infantry". Again, the UNSC is from Halo, not Starship Troopers.

But to answer your question, the IG is not gonna have a good time fighting what amounts to Tau Battlesuits with mini-nukes, terminator-level protection (???), and worst of all, the ability to fight in close combat.
