The issue is if somebody knows what would be seen as clearing they can just play that way. So it ultimately boils down to WIFOM. Watson has this day to Town tell.

I didn't recall this, but I don't think it is a reasonable tradeoff. The risk of lynching one and having the other lose the duel was still sizeable, given Watson had nothing else to really defend her from (besides me, I guess, but it wasn't a strong read).

Without claiming the duel though, watson is just dead in the water. Youre free to disagree of course, but claiming it had approximately the desired effect, in a world where ahe us scum, did it not?

bus driver is literally the best scum role though lol. you can kill a townie with that, clear a teammate, fuck with town ect.

watson is also easily found as sum and would never be positioned as the deep wolf on a team (no offence watsy) so i mean given the player/beneit, it's possible. we can't just write it off.

Why is she dead in the water when otherwise, Poyser just gets lynched and she's otherwise in the mire of slots that are in PoE? I agree that she can't then claim the duel, but I don't see why she would duel there instead of making sure Poyser takes up the day.

If you want me to act like she's playing a good game then no, I'm not going to defend her. I don't think she's been any worse than any other inactive though, and the duelling of Poyser (as well as some of her posts from vibe and tone later in the day) come across as town motivated to me.
