Oddly fitting too since Gaynor is basically Reverse Flash. He's exactly the sort of person who would time-travel just to visit Elric back when he was White Crow, and jack him off at superspeed the first time he dated some Indian lady.

Gaynor is as batshit as he is, and his motives are difficult to comprehend.
