Goth Music never had anything to do with Satanic stuff. Peter Murphy and Ian Curtis were religious fairly conservative guys, so was Alice Cooper who while not goth he pretty much inspired the movement.

Led Zeppelin and 70s bands were the guys who were into that Satanic shit

And funnily despite Dio being more popular in Europe, he was American, many people assume he's European
