Game Official Ranked Xmas Mafia 2024 - Where Worlds Collide

Xmas Mafia Night 1 - The First Casualties

As dawn breaks over the village, the first light of day reveals a chilling scene. The usual tranquility is shattered by the discovery of multiple bodies, lying lifeless in the snow-dusted streets. The villagers, wrapped in their warm coats, gather in hushed groups, their breath visible in the cold morning air. Faces pale with shock and fear, they exchange whispers and glances, trying to comprehend the horror that has befallen their peaceful home. They were sure they had apprehended the killers the day before, however an unmistakable air of something altogether more sinister lingered in the air ...

Martyr Bodyguard

Congratulations, you are Joseph, Christmas Aligned! A humble and devoted carpenter from Nazareth. Your life takes an extraordinary turn when you are chosen to be the earthly father of Jesus. Betrothed to Mary, you are initially troubled when you learn of her miraculous pregnancy, but an angel's reassurance in a dream strengthens your faith and resolve.

As a man of quiet strength and deep devotion, you stand by Mary’s side, guiding her on the arduous journey to Bethlehem for the census. Upon arriving, you find no room in the inns and humbly accept a stable as the birthplace for the Savior. Your resourcefulness and care provide a safe haven for Mary and the newborn Jesus, amidst the humble surroundings of animals and hay.

Your role in the Nativity is one of unwavering support and protection. You are a model of righteousness and obedience, fulfilling the divine plan with grace and humility. As Jesus' earthly father, you impart wisdom and craftsmanship, raising him with love and dedication.

In this game, you have the following roles:

- Martyr Bodyguard (You are entirely devoted to protecting another, and if they would die for any reason, you will die in their place)

You win when all threats to Christmas are eliminated.

Congratulations, you are Candy Canes, Christmas Aligned! An iconic symbol of the holiday season, with your distinctive hook shape and red and white stripes, you are instantly recognizable and beloved by many. Your origins date back to the 17th century, where you were initially created as simple white sugar sticks.

Legend has it that a choirmaster in Germany bent you into the shape of a shepherd's crook to help keep children quiet during long Christmas services, and to remind them of the shepherds who visited the baby Jesus. Over time, your design evolved, and you gained your signature red stripes and peppermint flavor, adding a touch of festive charm.

In this game, you have no role.

You win when all threats to Christmas are eliminated.

It is now Day 2. As tomorrow is Christmas, this will also be an extended phase of 60 hours. With 26 alive, 14 to lynch.
1. I think in a world where Ekko is scum here (which I still think is possible), he'd probably go after Poyser over Craig; way too easy to misframe Craig being killed on Ekko
2. Poyser being killed kind of sucks because he's able to generate a good sense of unity among town and not as uh polarizing as say Ultra or Ekko in comparison
3. Still don't know why the fuck RDK fake claimed indie/survivor if he was town but that's Haza for you

3 kills

1 vig shot?
1 mafia with 2 kills?
2 mafia doing faction kills?
1 mafia and SK on the loose?

Don't know but feels like this isn't a traditional set up

Would be funny if @Alexis2282AE was the hostile indie though, right @Dr_Professor83

why cant they both be mafia?

I just explained, it doesn't make much sense for Melkor to show notable hesitation or strong preference if both are busses

Plus I think Ekko's got a bit more going for him, specifically the fact that he entered the game voting Melkor and the fact that he had gotten a bit of traction yesterday, so it's more buyable Melkor would try and swing there

It would be pretty cool.

Also how have you read enough of my posts to know of my Alexis obsession 👁️ sus

(Also why mention him as hostile indie specifically at all as opposed to just mafia?)

I disagree on the notion that fmpov Ekko tried to early sell Watson as lynch in thread. Shortly before me and Arne pushed him. Voting Melkor early does not matter then, if you try to get Watson over instead

Who would you consider here?

To be honest, probably Flower. As stated, using a 3-shot PR on n1 and not knowing it's full use before then is either bad townie or a an articulate scum tactic.

Yeah this is awful if its supposed to be a rebuttal. I said an indie claim = non-town, which is perfectly fine to lynch in lieu of any other option that would see a townie mislynched. Why RDK claimed indie, I have no idea but playing hindsight hero isn't really going to impress anyone.

Also you hadn't posted at all so nominating you as PoE vig fodder isn't something I'll apologize about.

If you think I'll be getting points for calling out your list then you are mistaken. I didn't see RDK's claim to be fair, so yeah it's awful in hindsight. If Ekko turns out to be scum, then I'll look back on this more favorably. You should apologize btw, I am town so throwing me as PoE is not cash money.

So what Watson was scummy and she's probably a filthy disgusting rotten indi

She has a fake claim my nigga

I mean you mention him at least or twice in most of your posts, so it kind of stands out since the game started. Also even if there is only 1 mafia, doesn't exclude hostile indies in the game.

Though I'm more interested in knowing why you think if X is scum, that automatically makes Ekko town, or vice-versa.

Automatically no, but more likely yes. I don’t really see Melkor & Dest both bussing Ekko together there. Just don’t think that’s the play coming in having a big group bus triangle session

I'm not apologizing for anything.

And obviously I'm not going to take your word at face-value that your town because you insist you are just like that. Paranoia is the name of the game here. And I'm less certain Ekko is going to flip scum since he got hit by that PR from Flower, but I'm still not adverse to seeing him flipped either way because the chance and way he plays can often be as much a nuisance to town.

I stopped caring about that ngl

Besides the point, Melkor was Ekko's first vote and it sounded plausibly decisive. I don't think it's impossible they bussed each other but I think it's way more likely he's aligned with the person he played lip service to scum reading but opted to neglect when the chips were on the table. Make sense?

I'll be here when the game ends waiting for it :rippedcal
