I have points in this thread where apparently the Tarnished does not scale to the Bosses because "You die a gazillion times in gameplay, so that doesn't count" and people agreed with the godawful take.

you can die to goats and pigs ive always thought this was bad downplay for any series tbh

the thing is I can understand being skeptical about dark souls feats because they’re way more obtuse than er (the direct star level evidence in ds comes from translating the goddamn runes on a stackable resource item) but ER had sb denying shit you can just see happen witth your own eyes

I think people tend to miss that when we go with Feats > Statements, we do allow for Feats that collaborates with Statements just enough to work.
We kinda have to do that because otherwise, most feats we have here would be nothing special or barely up there at all. However, the statements have to legit go with the feat itself or we just end up ignoring it.

Sorry and don't roast me for this, but Meteore didn't do much. Yes, the day and night cycle count and I won't exclude it-but affecting the whole star (unless we take lore) is doubtful. The stars in Elden ring are interchanged regularly. They have Regular Stars-like Sun, Falling Stars-like Astels, even meteors are sometimes interchanged with Stars.

thats with lore though, if you’re going pure feats>statements then the meteor and day/night shift are both valid, both of which SB and similar posters has vehemently denied being usable by anybody

I do think statements are very valid fwiw, I’m just saying with Elden Ring the downplay is about 80% cope and 20% people being actually skeptical

im the biggest Radahn fanboy ever but ive also…actually read the lore and there is nothing indicating he was holding back against Malenia, every source says they were equals and fought to a stalemate. He is an honorable guy, aside from his lore we see him let her prepare to fight him properly.
