I think your assumptions about how he should play should first and foremost be informed by, well, how he's historically played. Historically he has played similarly around other team mates in contention. That's kind of what makes your argument weak - you're assuming some unclear level of default competence around his positioning. He could even be acting aloof on purpose if you think he's that good - that's the position I put myself around T-Pein in Monster Hunter and was duly town read for a bad reason.

Finally I just don't think the rest of his performance is quite up to snuff to be able to easily chalk that up as a mistake. I don't think his play around Psychic is *completely* inexcusable, but in lieu of him doing anything else it stands out.

out of all the votes earlier on, seemed like the laziest and with no conviction. Just dont buy it - even if my follow up points might be seen as weak

In light of the tracker claim this is where I'm at, have also removed RDK as I think he'd have more to offer than "lynch Fuji" as town.

Try not being a condescending prick once in a while?

Blowing a load so early on a CC would be silly from my pov. I dislike how she's said the number of shots though, and role trackers do exist. I'll hopefully see how the wagon developed in the reading.

Possible, yes. I also don't think I'd expect a counter claim, regardless of her alignment, but she did claim doctor unprompted last game and got counter claimed so seeking it out makes some sense.

Here's a reference point.

Lethal is at about 4-5 votes here, co-opts a narrative about how he is town and Gram is scum, chooses to hard defend him and take a swing at a high profile player accusing him. Ring a bell?

Ironically he is distancing with Psychic here - but she is on nobody's radar.

Probably the biggest thing in his favor is that he would have had to have helped make psychic her claim, and then shot down the chance modifier that he presumably helped construct. Which would I guess in turn raise the question of who would suggest that. More than likely Psychic flubbed somewhere though, so he could have been evaluating the playing field and then bussed when it was clear the ship was absolutely sinking.

Finally, considering Psychic was the blocker, a source of protection, and a source of extra kills all rolled up into one, I think it would be worth preserving if possible. It's an assumption but probably not a bad one.
