Agreed. Hell, I have no issue with Gojo dying as long as it actually was a good end to Gojo's Character Arc... and it wasn't.
You, Blade, Derpmaster, alot of Gojo's fans have said the same shit and it is genuinely true:
Gege could not let his butthurt of Gojo go when it was critical and now Gojo and Kashimo are dead extremely anti-climatically for virtually nothing.
Hell, like you stated(or someone else), I FULLY expect the Lawyer to be killed through some absolute bullshit just to really rub it in.
Going back to what was said about the Gojo and Sukuna shit earlier, it amazes me that Gege, in his hate towards Gojo, never realized that, given he and Gojo are the peak of the verse and are above everyone else, he literally could've easily wrote them both to be capable of doing shit that nobody else can, outside of multiple domain expansions? Did it never occur to him that he could've demonstrated Sukuna to be capable of beating Gojo from the very beginning, on his own, if he just thought about it more?
Like, an example I could think of off the top of my head, what if the very first attack Sukuna threw Gojo's way, just looked like a regular ass attack at first, no domain amplification or anything like that, which leaves Gojo confused, but still ready to counter, like he always does, with Infinity. His Six Eyes then warn him at the last second, when it's too late to dodge, what Sukuna is doing, whether it be a punch or kick to the face or gut, that the dude is making use of the most basic ass manipulation of cursed energy, that anyone could do, but is pushing it to such an extreme, with how he concentrates a solid amount of it, that space-time literally begins to warp and spasm all around it, so that when it touches Gojo's Infinity, it disrupts space, and thus the technique itself, causing it to fail, and for his attack to go right through and smash Gojo in retaliation for the 200% Hollow Purple that I believe Gojo started the fight with.(might be misremembering that, somebody correct me if I'm wrong).
All you'd have to do then, is have Sukuna refer to that as something 'simple' that he needed, whilst Gojo is stunned, as his Six Eyes basically inform him of what Sukuna had to do for that to happen, which is not something that any other sorcerer would be remotely capable of(outside of maybe himself, of course). After that, just imply that such a 'simple' thing for Sukuna, could also be applied to his Cleave and Dismantle, causing them to literally become spatial cuts, if he wanted to, and is something he could've done to Gojo to end him from the very beginning.
Why does he not just do that then, you may ask? Because, as his character has been stated and shown to think about himself, only HIS pleasure and displeasure matter, and the nigga simply wanted to face off against Gojo and see what the 'strongest' of the modern era could do at his best, with all his abilities, to entertain him. THAT's the only reason the fight lasts as long as it does(he doesn't use Maho or any of the shikigami in this version. He only stole Megumi's body to get out of Yuji's, and because he liked the Ten Shadows tech and simply wanted it for himself, even if he'll prob never use it.

) This is the actual realization Gojo comes to, when he's in the afterlife, and is what he talks about instead of what we got. Would be a lot more understandable then, and not make Gojo look like he suffered brain damage due to Gege's awful writing, when he starts hyping up Sukuna.
