The very first thing I asked was what their character was and they started making all these long winded explanations on why they weren't going to tell me or trust me. After this, they tried to say I should reveal first to build trust.

I don't think this clears Fang. It's not like he could claim a more believable role cause it's early enough to not know what kind of roles we have and a more believable role could... you know... already exist? This feels fake. But it also means that there's less chance of you and Fang having equity.

He also gave me his character as Rudolph and I am the Grinch. That does feel like kind of random characters for masons. My PR also has a reason why I am a mason and when I asked him what Rudolph's reason for being a mason, he refused to answer and went off on some tangent.

X is Town because I don't see scum bringing up that angle fwiw. If Ral can't explain why he's a Mason, he likely has no flavour text as scum have none.

Might as well reveal my actual character at this point, but also not sure why @The X revealed that I was the other Mason if we were to discuss our plans to overthrow Santa in private. Looks like you forced my hand either way, so now I'm coming for you next, X, and I expect the rest of town to do the same.

I am no other than... Winterbolt! I win once all threats to Christmas are eliminated. I also share a private chat with another player aka with the X, who is also a Mason, and from my understanding, Mason's can swing Town or even Mafia.

I also lied about my character because he went straight gunning for me to reveal that info. Didn't even stop to say hello or get to know me, straight up had me at knifepoint to reveal my role, character, and alignment, so I was under no obligation to divulge such information so early in the game

Rudolph is down with Santa irl and I forgot about that thinking the best lie was to give him a different character instead of my actual one. He didn't even give me time to breath let alone reveal his own role to me. My understanding of Mason roles is also that they are town/town aligned, but RDK told me that they can also play town/scum, so I became even more apprehensive giving away any info about my character on D1 of all scenarios. Our time-zone differences is also another issue because by the time we reply to each other, the other is off to bed or something else.

Also, what are the chances of @T-Pein™ slipping and faking the exact same role as I did? I would not make a mistake like that so easily if I were scum and I know TP wouldn't either, despite what you think of him as a player.

Again, it's the first character we Americans think of when we think about Christmas movies and shit. It would have been one of the dumbest plays of the century for two scum players to reveal the same exact character... I would have at least coordinated with him, especially after revealing my fake character to the other Mason I was talking to.

My theory is there was some internal disagreements from T himself on being bussed late stage but that's neither here nor there (this intrigued me and something I want to see postgame)

I don't trust him worth shit, especially with the piss poor communication he's had with me all game. It's been 7 DAYS since he last replied to me and I was the last one to respond... Either he's really washed out as he says he is with this game, or asking for my role straight off the bat is pure scum tactic. Let alone the fact that he gave me up so easily on D1, didn't even hide it, mentioned he was talking to another Mason, quoted me in this game thread too, and yet, no one even noticed that did they? My memory is a lot better now, so I don't easily forget these important details, especially when it's only the beginning of the game

My overall thoughts on X? Scum, especially after learning that they can be either town/scum and the chat is not only strictly for town/town.

if the latter it's cause ive seen town do some exceptionally stupid things on this site that result in them still flipping town. see last game where gad claimed an indian character, which could have been a scum character at that point, but instead was curry then claimed his own flavour wrong and then flipped town. there was no reasonable logic to him being town in that situation but alas it still happened.

This is just WIFOM. By the same token, I could just say it’d be a very Magic thing to do to just refuse to play until after TPein was lynched. Both are just teammate hypotheticals - at least with Grammaton, he could probably pull the strings in the QT so there’s that.

Magic was busy and only repped in as he had time on the 27th, so that’s when he started - he didn’t even want to play. It’s not as though his reads were any good in the meantime.

I’m simply not following why he’s removed from the table, when he has a token role and nothing in his play to suggest he should be out of PoE.

He’s not my first choice, but I’ve no idea why someone who’s done nothing of consequence all game and got a role that would easily explain why the he coast through end game without being night killed is somehow off the table lol.
