I can't agree with Mario 64 aging worse than Adventure. The fact that they added a bunch of alternative gameplay styles of varying quality and continued doing that shit for years instead of just focusing on their platforming and how to incorporate their characters into it is enough to put it down a few notches.

They've honestly been too different for me to straight up compare them. Like you can speed run in Mario but Sonic can get to a point where the game straight up can't keep up with your bullshit if you're playing too good. It can be seen as a flaw and it can kinda get annoying but I'd be lying if I didn't think that it has some charm

Shadow’s game isn’t too bad, it’s in the same camp as Heroes

I actually thought Odyssey was a poor man’s Galaxy. Maybe it’s just the vibes, I still think Galaxy is the best in the Mario series

I'd be hard pressed to call Heroes good in any capacity tbh. Sega could have done the smart thing and refined their controls from the previous game but instead made an intentional choice to make them worse and then they did it again in Shadow but this time the game is nothing but the worst gameplay style from Heroes. And now you gotta play it like 10 more times if you want a final story that makes all the other stories pointless :skully . All it does is make me wonder why the hell am I playing dollar store Ratchet and Clank/Jak 2 when those games have better gunplay that builds upon their previous games.
 
@TrueG 37 While I always enjoy replaying Jak II, among the the trilogy, Ive really come like the first Jak and Daxter the most over the years.

Had the best focus on adventuring and exploration

I found a newfound love for the original game myself after I got the collection :lit.

Still cool how Jak 2 added on to it though. Took me a while to figure out that the different gun types basically work the way the different eco types did in the original game. The one powered by blue eco is a rapid fire machine gun. The one powered by red eco is a powerful shotgun etc.

And then Jak 3 just went over the top. You had three different versions of each Gun Mod including ones that fires shots that bounce off walls so you can trick shot enemies to death, fire electricity, RPGs, and even a freaking nuke.

I also really loved the vehicles and Wasteland missions with them. Straight outta Mad Max

It's good they went with turn base with ff7 ec, seriously action base with limited movement is tiring at this point.
 
@Blade so downloaded the FF7 EC day 1 and instantly got like 3 of zack's 5 star weapon and the monster hunter collab weapon.

:mjlolGuess I'm maining Zack.
 
Funny how WWE does a comedic Awesome Truth segment and then cuts immediately to Jade and Bianca coming out, almost like they're trying to say something isn't it? :maybe

Why yes WWE, I do agree that Awesome Truth are hilarious and are great fighting tag team champions who have defended their belts more than ANY other set of Tag Team Champions right now, while Jade and Bianca are such an overrated and boring joke I honestly don't care at this point who beats them as long as someone does. And no amount of confining Awesome Truth to go home shows and putting the girls on PLE's is gonna change that.

Even if you did give me a scare with that AOP shit, I would have been absolutely furious if Awesome Truth got squashed. :really



Now on to one of the best things on the show atm. Not only did Bronn and Ilja put on match of the night, Bronn taking out Rocochet like this provides great motivation for Ilja to want a rematch of a more hardcore nature, where we can justify Ilja winning without really damaging Bronn's momentum as he'll need to use weapons to do it.

Make it happen Triple H! :awesome
 


Didn't notice when I first watched the trailer but THAT is Clive Rosfield's voice. :awesome
Hopefully his character has a better ending this time, or at least that it's not as fucking random and pointless? :maybe

Also to Square's bullshit "you can't be movie level cinematic with turn based combat" excuse, I present to you exhibit "GO FUCK YOURSELVES!" Now hopefully this'll be really good and be a wake up call so they'll pull their heads out of their asses before they flush their series completely down the toilet.
 


The sad thing is that this SHOULD excite me, this SHOULD be hype...but my actual reaction was "Oh no" 'cause I'm terrified they're going to woke the shit out of this game.

INB4 The Prince constantly needs to be saved by Farah instead of vice-versa and she's actually the one who saves the day at the end while HE dies. :scust

I'll need to see more of this before I'll get excited.
