Death Battle Discussion

My Prediction: The Gurren Lagann Otoko no Jouken stuff was discovered August 2024. It might have been too late by then for the research team to include it. Which is why I believe they'll black box it and then saying "Well DC is infinite D so doesn't matter" (bullshit) (Even though another thing says Simon transcends dimensions and time)

Also WL Kyle crossed over to the other side of the Source Wall, so he literally, physically "transcended" dimensions by leaving the reality of which all the dimensions are part of.

So if we go that route then dimensional scaling is defunct for both of them anyway

I have a strong feeling Kyle is going to win, but I am still rooting for Simon. :catsalute
The information for the spinoffs came too late. IMO it would have equalized the fight because both are now "beyond dimensional" whatever, maybe Kyle wins due to LE hax.

But the information came too late and the research team likely already came to the conclusion Kyle wins without the LE (Hell they might legit have GL Kyle > STTGL rip)

One optimistic thing to consider (I know muh dimensions), but the Anti-Spiral Realm was stated to exist between the 10th and 11th dimension, not that it actually caps as it. It's its own subspace that could be whatever the Anti-Spiral wants. This would have been recognizable even when research began, IIRC even a guy mentioned this very fact in the DBCast.

Was the beyond dimensions and time thing for TTGL or STTGL?

Beyond dimensions was for TTGL (as stated in the novelization, Final Drill and a few interviews with Nakashima).

From what I've seen Otoko can be reconciled with either the Anti-Spiral hiding between the 10th & 11th dimensions not being a cap on the number of dimensions (similar to how Marvel had a meeting of the Living Tribunal & Eternity in the 16th dimension even though Marvel has many more dimensions), or that the different multiverses have different laws of physics, including dimensional layouts (such as that one Dr Who story with Saraquazel coming from a universe with 27 dimensions to one with 11). TTGL & the Anti-Spiral would exist beyond dimensions in either case.

It is possible that even without Otoko the Labyrinth could reach an uncountable infinity of universes/multiverses even without having to go into dimensions or R > F, but to verify that you'd likely need a degree in mathematics. XP

In anycase, hopefully this brings more attention to the more obscure Gurren Lagann feats (and I wonder just how much of the stuff I found they will use).

STTGL is infinitely more powerful than TTGL, and Simon on his own transcends all of it. That bodes well for Simon if they make TTGL beyond dimensional alone.

Apparently Simon has resistance to existence erasure? Can he resist high level reality warping like his concept being attacked or being unmade?

Maybe? I can't remember anything explicitly conceptual in Gurren Lagann I'm afraid (unless there's something I'm missing from Parallel Works or Otoko). He was able to resist the IBBS, though I'm not sure if that's the same. :LioPringles:
