To get content out as fast as possible. Let's be real here.

These days everything is about marketability, not quality.

For example, 5-minute crafts isn't really what one would a quality youtube channel. The 'crafts' done on that channel are usually redundant, useless, or just plain impossible. Yet it has like 10 mil subscribers because it's marketed to kids to dumb to realize that you can't make diamonds by putting coal in peanut butter.

Same thing with the mcu, hell Disney itself knows this and abuses it.

They change trailer footage or put hints into trailers so guys like film theory can make videos on them to hype the movies.

They also now put actual memes into there movies.

And it's not just the mcu, the new chip and Dale movie and Space Jam 2 are also like this.

Current mcu and media don't make movies with quality in mind. There made with a just some plot, passable acting, and tons of nostalgia, and memes so guys on the internet are like.

"OMG! They added the "I'm something of a Scientist myself" meme. Disney-sama noticed us!"

And this is discounting stuff like toys.
Dang this is spot on.

But yea if you can market it to millions of idiots and those millions of idiot is willing to pay a dollar each time, then you already won.
I mean that shit is still producing millions for less than amount needed to produce it.

hate how accurate this is
Well to look on the brightside.. This tactic only really works with large media franchises since stuff like the mcu or fantastic Beasts have already made large fan bases that eat up their shit.

Which is why movies like Everything Everywhere All At Once need to be quality.

Because they can't rely on fan bases, or nostalgia or jokes to push their movies to success.

And at the same time large media franchises can't use this model of relying on nostalgia or memes cause people will soon get smart and realize how much these movies lack in quality.

After all as brought up before unlike NWH and MOM most current mcu movies only make around 100-200 mil with BW and Eternals being flops.

And with how despite being somewhat underrated Everything Everywhere All At Once still has good reception showing that people can still recognize quality despite these tumultous times.

So unless Disney and the mcu get there act together I can see them ending up like Netflix with them going bankrupt because they wasted to much money on shitty TV shows and movies.

That or Disney shuffles some of that coke money to keep the mcu alive like some sort of Zombie Strange with their cape of bad movies.
