What was crazy about the Main Event you could have missed is WHY Seth Rollins wore The Shield getup, the theme song and why Roman smashed him with a chair:

It's because despite his insistence he got over Seth's betrayal, he never did. Even in their Undisputed Heavyweight Championship match, Roman didn't beat Seth, Seth won through DQ as Roman just wouldn't stop trying to murder him(And this was Seth fucking him over with mindgames too).

So in the most simple terms possible, this was a HUGE Fuck You to Roman Reigns from Seth just so Cody Rhodes can win...

FUCKING CINEMA!
I definitely didn't miss that shit, lol. Roman basically threw away a W on Cody just to get back at Seth for the backstab ten years later. :heston

Oh yeah speaking of The Undertaker:

@Derpmaster9000 @Darth Nihilus @Nevermind Someone in the Wrestling Forum brought in a good point:

Taker has more ties to everyone than Austin does. Austin has ties to Rock.

Taker debuted versus Dusty and Dusty put him over. Taker once took up for rock when he was overwhelmed by McMahon Helmsley rules and evened odds, so when he went off rails he put his ass down. Roman and Taker were mania opponents and partners even when Shane fucked with him. Heyman was his manager who sent him to work for WWE.

What the hell does Austin have to do with anyone besides Rock history wise?

TL;DR:
Dusty was The Undertakers first opponent, he bailed out The Rock when he fought against McMahon and Helmsley(Thus would hate what The Rock has become) and Roman and Taker was Mania opponents and Heyman was his manager and took him to the WWE in the first place.

i.e. The Undertaker is PERFECT to have been there rather than Stone Cold.

When ya can't let go of the past

That's honestly the entire point of the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns character and it's why he's so engaging:

The entire point of his character... is that he can't let go of being hated and despised in the past so he's overcompensating to hell and back.
His "Acknowledge Me" Catchphrase? Done because he believes he will never be acknowledge otherwise
The fact he lost his shit when Saimi and Jey betrayed him? Because he never got ever Seth betraying him.

Once you really do a deep dive into the character, you realize that Roman... no, Joe Anoi created one of the most complex wrestling characters you have seen simply based on the shit he's been through until then.

This is exactly what I said in my video about why the Bloodline is the best story in WWE history. I unfortunately couldn't upload it to Youtube but I uploaded it free on my Patreon page. I'll have the other videos down the line out on youtube. Check it out!

The video is long but here's the relevant quote from my script:

Roman had dealt with fierce, painful, and nonstop rejection for years and years, and there are few things that hurt more than that. We humans are social creatures. One rejection is fine. But constantly feeling unwanted and unloved? That is one of the most painful experiences anyone can ever imagine. And the Roman Reigns character felt that feeling night after night for years, though it was unacknowledged for all that time because the previously poor writing could not allow it to be acknowledged.

Even his bout with and victory over leukemia was not enough to truly get audiences on his side as a heroic face of the company. While he was cheered upon his return, even then, his positive reception began to diminish, as that old mold, solidified on that fateful night in Philadelphia, refused to break.

Roman needs acceptance. He needs to exorcise the pain of rejection that he felt all those nights and all those times. All of the cruelty he inflicts as the Head of the Table – supposedly for the benefit of the business, is really his way of saying “am I good enough for you now?”

Goddamn, I know people sometimes wank Ben but the rest aren't even in his league. I don't even think he needs X for this.
You sure about that?
