The final one in the Secret Warp Room where the cars are replaced with UFO’s? Area 51. Definitely tough but man is it epic. One of my proudest achievements in Warped was for that level, getting the Gem for first place, the other Gem from breaking all the boxes, and the freaking Platinum Relic all in one go.

The only time it got bad was Road Crash in third Warped Room with that annoying S turn. The rest of the bike levels are great and the Motorcyle controls I got used to. Though I will admit it’s the worst of Warped’s Vehicle segments and we didn’t need 4 of them. Would have been nice if they traded Road Crash for either another Great Wall of China segment with Pura or even an on-foot level We don’t talk about any of WoC’s endless poorly handled vehicle levels. Other than maybe the plane and Atlasphere levels.

The actual racing games or are you talked about Warped’s motorcycle level? CTR and it’s 2019 remake is some of the best racing games ever made. Nitro Kart was a decent clone of CTR and Tag Team and the mobile games are forgettable. For the Motorcycle levels, I liked them. Now Wrath of Cortex’s Jeep races…

Not sure what the stance is here about this but I just wanted to say this. This modern day obsession by game developers for realism and graphical detail is overrated and now ruining gaming. We’re past the point of huge graphical leaps with each console generation or games imitating real life or some big budget Hollywood blockbuster. It’s no longer to go wow about like it was over a decade ago. It’s the norm. Now all that’s left is this need for hyper realism in games that’s restricting art, creativity, and gaming genres.

And when we do get “innovation” in comics it tends to suck. I do agree the superhero genre of western comics is becoming stagnant and they either need to expand on other genres or try to adopt the way manga releases actual new content if they hope to stay relevant

Comics are definitely on the decline even for kids. One of my co-workers has a kid who loves Naruto more than anything else though admittedly because he’s a fan himself and introduced him to it. That plays a part. The generation that grew on stuff like Toonami are now old enough to start families and share their interest with kids. That and cable is fading out in favor of streaming and weebs were watching all their shit online well before streaming took off so it was easy for things like Crunchyroll and Funimation to find an audience in anime streaming Same bookstore has only one shelf that lumps all comics not manga as graphic novels. DC, Marvel, Darkhorse, etc. I remember when bookstores actually separated DC and Marvel and had whole section for each.

Half the time I go to one of my book stores, there’s at least one car with anime characters on it. I remember a decade ago when manga was niche in these very same book stores and normally had only a single shelf somewhere in the back. Today, the main book store I go to has an entire manga section with several shelves in the very front, advertising for the most popular stuff like posters, and even sells other stuff like figures and anime accessories . It’s crazy how mainstream anime manga has become over the years

I don’t agree with everything about him but he is 100% right about Twitter and he’s brought to light or will with this upcoming lawsuit just how corrupt it is with censoring people whose views they don’t agree with and their use of bots and fake posts for propaganda.
