Well they introduced him with a backstory of killing a infamous Elite black-ops leader, then had him officially show up in Halo Wars 2 beating the shit out of three Spartan II's from Red Team (Alice, Jerome, and Douglas), and now he manhandled John like its nothing. He's not an evil character technically like Truth, Regret, or Mercy but he's a Chaotic Neutral, someone who just wants freedom so how their gonna justify John fighting him or him going down is tough. Especially since all the hype for Atriox outside of Halo Wars 2 comes from comics and novels and none of that was done by 343 Studios.

Want to point out that Atriox *did* blindside John intially but also note how he deflected his hammer with one arm where as the same swing sent Douglas flying across a chamber

Damn Master Chief straight up admits in Halo 6/Infinite that Atriox completely demolished them during their fight in the UNSC Infinity's hangar bay.

I would put up Dark Forces II as pretty influential, for a long time it and Half-Life were the undisputed and universally considered not only best FPS PC games of all time but the best rated ones as well.

That's not saying much and even then Rogue One's first 2 acts were pretty crap. The final third of the movie is fine but lets not kid ourselves like the crazy pacing, constant scene jumps, and flat characters were a selling point.
